Eskins-the eagles rallying cry is that romo was still throwing the ball late?

Someone needs to remind Philly that one of their OL players (can't remeber who) took a cheap shot on Romo by blasting him in the back (in the back? friggin Eagle COWARDS!) a good 2 seconds after a pass was thrown in the early 4th quarter. So I'm !!!EXTATIC!!!! that Dallas decided to keep Romo in and answer by LIGHTING THEM UP like a XMas tree for the rest of the game.

And after the game I'm hearing how the Eagles feel they got emareesed and this will be motivation for them to come back and "show us"? SHOW US? Show us what? That they SUCK, because that's what they've shown us?

They ARE who we konw they are.

For the Eagles to feel entitled now to come back to Dallas with a chip on their shoulders to prove they are better than last night's loss, and better than Dallas, is rediculous. They're NOT better. Far from it!

What, do they honestly think that 44-6 is over and now its for them to defend their emberassment? PLEASE! 44-6 happened because Dallas quit on istself. Last night's debacle for them happened because they brough their best game and got BEAT OUTRIGHT by a much better team.

They ARE who we konw they are.

Sorry Philly, with a chip on your bruised shoulder and all, do you honesely think our forgiveness of 44-6 is now over? No chumps; it's just begun!

As Ralph Cramdon once said after punching an unbeknownst bully in the teeth and wathed him run away from the pool hall..."Someone go downstairs and get Harvey...!!!" because WE AINT DONE!

It was my biggest gripe. I didn't want to risk injury to Romo or a WR or TE.

I think it was about confidence and setting a tone. It was about the Cowboys telling the NFL they have no fear.

Both teams hate each other.

Homers from both sides will be running their mouth next week.

And as I heard Patrick Crayton just say on some audio played on the Ticket, he doesn't think the Eagles will lay another egg Saturday.

Am I the only one to notice that the Eagles defense is not that good especially not as good as it has been in the past. I mean we racked up almost 500 yards of total offense and didn't punt until the 2nd half. Also the score could have been a lot worse if not for that tipped INT they had on us in the red zone. They are really going off the rep that they had throughout the 00's. Some of it was Jim Johnson and some of it was being a deep quick defense. They aren't that anymore. I don't see how they can stop us with their defense. It is not good in my opinion.

Also their offense is one dimensional. If you shut down the deep passes and big plays they don't sustain drives at all. They don't have a good oline, they don't have good running backs and they don't have big physical wideouts.

They have some good Corners but their Linebacking core is what is killing them.

They can be run on and it is quite clear that if you put the right scheme together, you can confuse them.

I took like not only scoring yesterday, but finding something that works, something to hang their hat on against us for next week. Because they dont have that right now, and you would hate to have had them go and put 14 on the board in the last 5 minutes of the game and gain momentum.

The fact that the eagles would even say this speaks volumes, mcnabbs comments after the game yesterday speak volumes.

What did McNabb say after the game?

If you want us to pull our QB and quit trying to score with 6-8 minutes still left on the clock, then you do the same first. Romo was in there throwing the ball because they were trying to sustain a clock killing drive. They didn't take any deep shots. They ran the ball and then threw for first downs to try and kill the clock.

They can still be effective in their scheme. However, they are missing some key components to their defense. Not having Dawkins back there at FS is huge. Also, they're really not good at all at LB. Trotter can still stuff the middle but he's a huge liability outside of his 3 yd box. Witherspoon is still new to the scheme and the other guys are very inexperienced. Even the writers in Philly acknowledge their LB play is a major concern.

He blames the young players on the team for not stepping up and making plays. Funny because he is the verteran and he didn't step up and make a play. I'm sure the young guys were looking to him to step it up and he didn't.

I live in the area and heard Eskins comments. Big deal. He is a jerk. He belittles the Phillie's manager, then walks in their parade. He is front runner.

I think Dallas wanted to keep the ball and keep the shutout IMO. Beware next week. The Eagles will go back to blitzing ways I am sure of it.

BTW - McNabb said " Congratulations to the Dallas Cowboys for winning the NFC East, but we have bigger plans in mind. " or something similar.

According to this *** clown just "Mark it down , the Eagles are the better team and will win next week". Romo and the Boys tried to embarrass the Eagles by throwing in the 4th qtr. And by even having Romo in the game. While I thought leaving him was kinda stupid, wasnt McNabb trying to score at the end??? Why was he in???

I know by living in the area (Philly) Eskin feeds off of being a "shock jock" type of radio guy. 2 months ago burying the Eagles, now lauding them as being great. Just funny hearing some peoples take on the game yesterday and next week... McNabb and the 'better skill position players" are the difference in his opinion on who wins next week??? Hey whoever brings the A game wins this, in my mind. But dont get me started on "skill players" and who is better.
As I recall, the Eagles were tossing it around pretty good up 44-3 last year about this time.

Paybacks a bit#@

Their corners are VERY agressive and will hurt you if Romo isn't careful. But you can also take advantage of their aggressiveness and Romo has done so in both games.

The Eagles will have a much more aggressive blitz package coming up and Romo and the OL have to be ready for anything and everything. If we can burn them a couple of times when they are bringing the house we can again put that defense back on their heels.

The Eagles should have used the potential #2 seed and a first round Bye as well as homefield until the NFC championship game as motivation.

But they got whipped.
