Really odd that he would kill himself after being acquitted of the 2nd charge. I didn't open the ESPN article but I think there was a recent story of his lawyer starting the appeal of his 1st conviction.
Seen some speculation that dying while having a conviction under appeal will mean that he doesn't have the conviction on his record to screw up his pension and other NFL player entitlements.
Basically, the theory is that he offed himself because he wanted to keep his benefits for his family. Can't see how that would work but that's what some have said.
