26 year old backs just don't suddenly go to ****, he hasn't been 100% all year.

And he's never going to be 100% again either.

...how is he going to take a hit or a fall onto the knee with a swollen bursa sac?

My elbow was painful as hell when I took a check in a hockey game and hit the ice.

All this believin goin on and no one thinks MBIII has anything left in the tank after this year. His game is predicated around power, if he can't push off or explode he's essentially useless - but put me in the minority that thinks he is still a very good back that has ran into some nagging injuries.

I'm not talking about the bursa sac never being 100% again. I'm saying that through overuse and abuse that Barber has been permanently ruined. He will never be the player he was in 2006 and 2007 again.

It would be great if he could be revitalized in more of a backup/finisher sort of role. His gargantuan contract makes this situation impossible. With that salary, he needs to be the lead back. But for the team to be at its best, Felix needs to be the lead back.

The long-term future of Barber will get sorted out in time. For now, I would like to have at least two healthy RBs for the Vikings game.
