What a classic classic chain of events brought to us by the venerable Daniel Snyder... :lmao2:

I guess when you're that short, stepping on your johnson is unavoidable... :D

Remind you of any other team that disregards character and chemistry, in exchange for potential talent?

If snyder is a punk, jones is a punk. Both spend big money to bring in players, in an attempt to help their respective teams win. I know you're as blind a homer as that a team can have, but try to put at least a little thought behind your responses.

Danny tried to go out and get a very solid QB that would vastly upgrade our offense. We came just a little bit short. Cant fault him for actually trying.
First of all,the only big name FA jones has brought in recently was T.O,who by the way,was a pro bowl reciever for us,but if you put more thought into YOUR own response, you would KNOW JJ has put most of his money into signing his his own players and bringing in low end FA to fill out the team before the draft so he CAN draft the BPA,unlike your boy DS,who every year goes out and gets the top end FA with little or no return, gives away draft pics like they were the plague and now with the fiasco he pulled with your QB,has shown he is complete moron!!!:star:

This is probably Zorn's last year as the Commanders' HC as well.

Of course Zorn is behind him... until he can find an upgrade.

"Campbell, you are our QB until we find someone better."

That's how it works in the NFL Jason. If they could have swung the deal for Cutler then Zorn would be behind him... until someone better came along.

JZ can be behind JC all day, it doesn't matter cause the midget and Vinny pull the strings and they think he SUCKS and spent the nite trying to get him outta town... That speaks volumes to what they think of JC...

Campbell: Coach Zorn is behind me

I dont think you understand.

Jim Zorn is behind him, literally, pushing him out the door. :lmao2:Making sure the door dudn't hit him where the good lord split him.

As much as I hate the Commanders, I really think a lot of the criticism of Jason Campbell is unfair. I mean look at that receiving corps, and you've got a prima donna of a running back in Clinton Portis. Add to that the most vanilla offense of all time last year...you're going to look bad.

He would've excelled in Denver.

The offense in Washington last year made our offensive game plan against Seattle in the playoff game seem wide open.

However was that the coaches fault, or Campbell always checking down and not being willing to go for the big play, or a combination of the two. That is the million dollar question.

The last thing anyone should fault Snyder about is forever coming up short.

I'd love it if the Skins go 8-8 (With 2 losses to us of course) but for Campbell to have an outstanding, probowl type season, and then hit the FA market cause he refuses to resign with them. That would make me smile.

Over the past 5 years Snyder has far outspent Jones when it comes to new talent. Adam Archuleta, Brandon Lloyd, Andre Carter, Albert Haynesworth, Shawn Springs, etc. all say hello. Meanwhile, Dallas has kept most of their draft picks while the Skins look at the draft as a mere formality.

The fact is that the Skins wanted to dump Campbell and could afford to make the same deal that the Bears did, but the Broncos thought more highly of Kyle Orton than they did Jason Campbell. Now the Skins are stuck with Campbell, a guy that team tried to get rid of and his teammates know it.

You're right, what does that say when the value Orton over Campbell?. I'm gonna love hearing Danny try to kiss Campbell's arse now.

We'd just tag him. This is definitely his make or break year. I have a hard time imagining him starting for anyone else in 2010. Either he plays well enough to stay with us, or he'll be a backup somewhere else.

There are a lot of assumptions there. We don't know exactly what the Commanders offered. Yes, they could have offered two 1s, a 3, and Campbell, but there were all kinds of rumors about Carlos Rogers and Chris Cooley, so it could have been we were trying to trade a player instead of a pick. Also, the Bears were picking before us this year, so all things equal Washington would have had to offer more. To make this a comparison between Orton and Campbell doesn't make sense.

yeah you could just tag him, that's for sure, but that doesn't assure you that he'd be willing to sign with you, and I wouldn't blame him.

Although he might, and only agree to the 1 year deal with the idea that they can't tag him again, and then they'd be paying him, what, 13-16 million for that one year? That would be fantastic.

I think you can keep using the non-exclusive franchise tag on the same player year after year, but I could be wrong, and the end of the CBA may impact that as well. In any case, I doubt that if offered a market value long-term contract that Campbell would risk injury and just play for the one year.

How does one claim to have the support of someone who just tried to get rid of them? It makes no sense.

Campbell: No. No, you do not have the support of your team. They refuse to extend you. They just tried to get rid of you, but failed. Now they are stuck with you, so they blew some smoke up your ***. If you believe for a second that they actually support you, you ought to get your head checked.

Zorn didn't want to trade him. The FO did. Campbell and the FO met today, and Campbell called it very successful. It's hard not to root for this guy.
