Charges against Cowboys LB McClain dismissed

Court records show prosecutors asked a judge Monday to end the case against the 25-year-old McClain.

McClain was arrested in April 2013 when Decatur police were trying to clear a crowd that had gathered for a softball game. He allegedly cursed at officers and pulled away as they tried to arrest him.

The case was set for trial May 18 when prosecutors asked the court to dismiss the charges. No reason is given in court documents.

Goodell promptly suspends him for the season because the other owners are sick and tired of all of these Cowboys not being convicted.

Glad the charges were dismissed but more important for McClain and others who are dealing with off the field issues. Do yourself a favor, LEARN from the experience. NFL career is over quickly do not waste that time with BS things that can lead to missed time. It hurts the individual player and more importantly it hurts the team when a player is unable to play because he is not smart enough to avoid these problems.

Maybe the major concern wasn't the off-the-field issues, maybe it was the multiple concussions at the end of the year.
