Charges against Cowboys LB McClain dismissed

Court records show prosecutors asked a judge Monday to end the case against the 25-year-old McClain.

McClain was arrested in April 2013 when Decatur police were trying to clear a crowd that had gathered for a softball game. He allegedly cursed at officers and pulled away as they tried to arrest him.

The case was set for trial May 18 when prosecutors asked the court to dismiss the charges. No reason is given in court documents.

Charges being dismissed doesn't mean Goodell won't stick his nose into it anyway and punish the guy. If Mara gives the thumbs down for RoMac, expect Goodell to launch his own investigation.
