If Adams gets any Tag it is going to be the transition tag. But that is still a pretty big number.

Adams' tag amount is the same for transition as it is for franchise -- $8.4 million (120 percent of his 2007 "salary").

Unless we really want another team to negotiate his contract for us, there's no reason we'd use the transition tag. And if they used a poison pill, it wouldn't help us at all.

I posted how Dallas should Franchise he Hotel early in order to pressure him into a reasonable contract.

Yet, many of the forum captoligists stated it would be too much, since the cap would be about 10 million for OL.

Maybe homework should be done before shooting your mouth off?

Go look at the friggin cap thread started for 2008!

We have almost $16 mil in cap space and we still have to:

Resign Canty
Resign Barber
Sign all of our draft picks
Sign the other URFA

That's about $8 mill right there.

And you want to spend another $8.4 mil on franchising Adams?

You in cap-hole now pal... and you haven't resigned Hamlin, Davis, nor have you signed any free agents.

This isn't monopoloy money that you can just throw around with no implications on the cap and this team's ability to sign and resign people.

And don't forget the extra money needed to extend Newman.

I think you ought to change your name to "Caphelper".
