ESPN Clayton: Canty's stock on the rise

I guess. He was absolutely dreadful in the first half of the season. In the second half he was decent.

YAKUZA

That is what I'm saying. The guy only started playing decent when Wade took over the defense. Otherwise, he was getting no pressure, and I didn't hear his name much as far as making an impact in the running game. All he did was bat some balls down.

Speaking of tight lipped, What kind of GM would silence his head coach? Haley is a spineless puppet

In yet another signal of the culture change in Kansas City, new Chiefs coach Todd Haley has buttoned his lip, according to Mike Sando of ESPN.com.

In contrast to Haley’s willingness to outline behind-the-scenes information when he was the Arizona Cardinals’ offensive coordinator, including a gadget play for a Larry Fitzgerald touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles, Haley is extremely guarded now.

Of course, that change in media style fits in with Chiefs General Manager Scott Pioli’s ultra-secretive approach.

During Haley’s press conference with reporters, Pioli actually stood close by and monitored the interview session.

To top off the obvious discouragement from saying too much, in Pioli’s opinion, Pioli “at one point held up his watch and tapped it,” when Haley put in some extra time with reporters after his podium session was over.
Remember, Pioli comes from the Bill Belichick school of thought. Is it paranoid or smart? The New England Patriots’ collection of Super Bowl trophies will make most people lean toward the latter.

Either way, an information lockdown is the new way of doing things in Kansas City under Pioli’s direction. Mum’s the word.

priceless.:laugh2:

What has Canty even done while he was here? NOTHING. Losing him won't hurt us. Won't help...but won't hurt us either.

Wonder if Ware agreed to take a little discount if it meant keeping Canty.
Pure speculation, but he does play off his hip.

I expected more of an impact out of Canty in his contract year, maybe he gave us something but I didn't visualize it.

i think canty will end up in Denver.
Dont be surprised to see 4-3 teams negotite for him as well. he is not just a 3-4 end. He can play 4-3 end or even slide inside on nickel packages to rush from the DT spot.
He will be a sought after guy for measurables alone.
I'm glad we are not spending the kind of money on him that he will get.

     I personally am so fed up with the big question "What should the Cowboys owner Jerry Jones do in reference to Canty, T.O., Roy Williams no.# , 11 & 38", and is there a problem with the Cowboys leadership in the locker room? Well how about this lets get rid of everyone and start from scratch maybe that will make you disgruntled fans happy. Then that might help some of you so called Cowboy fans also stop crying about stuff you have no input whatsoever in the decision making of Jerry Jones when it comes to the team. So lets just deal with what ever Jerry comes up with. All in all it is what it is......
