So after going 3 for 3000 at bats jerry suddenly went 10 for 20?

Got it

"Jerry", or the scouting department, or the coaching staff, or Stephen, or whoever else you blindly choose to attribute our successes/failures to.

Anytime the Cowboys have success it's because Jerry's learned to stay out of the way, yet it's all Jerry's fault when things go wrong. Hilarious!

What ESPN is doing to all of us it trying to get in our good graces so we can all gush over ESPN....NOT!

And you are foolish if you don't think Garrett has a HUGE say in who is drafted and who is not. It's his team. He has a vision of what that team will look like and he has gone about building it, very successfully too.. 12-4 last year. We are lucky to have him as a coach, very very lucky. And before you go off on the 3 8-8 seasons, I will just go on record as saying that the last 8-8 year, might have been the best coaching job I have ever seen. It was amazing we could win 8 games with the amount of injuries that the team had, especially to one position group.

Wait, I thought he could only walk on water and turn it into wine

Now he is doing the drafting too?

An offensive guru who had to be completely removed from having any input in the offense ?

Garrett, IMO, has impacted talent acquisition in a very positive way since he became head coach.

What Jason said when he was hired was that he wanted a though, physical team that was full of guys who love to play football and to who the game is extremely important. Guys who love to compete and want to be great.

The draft decision making process that Dallas has used since 2010 is still pretty much the same that they used before the 2010 draft.

What Garrett has changed is the criteria that they used to build their draft board.

Prior to 2010 Dallas would have probably drafted an elite athlete over a guy who showed toughness and a love for the game. Prior to Garrett's first season as head coach, the Cowboys focused a lot more on measurables and much less so on things like how physical a guy played, how tough he was, how much he loved to compete.

It was Garrett that insisted Dallas hire a 3rd party company to evaluate draftees psychologically and it was him that insisted on getting players who fit his model of what type of player he wanted to help fulfill his vision for the team that he wanted to build.

Garrett also did something that was critical to him even being able to influence the type of player that the team drafted: He convinced Stephen of his vision for the team and how the team would evaluate and rank players on their draft board.

With Jerry admiring Garrett as much as he does and with Stephen on the same side as Garrett, the team has started ranking draftees more in the order that Jason would do it.

With as methodical a person as Garrett is, it should surprise nobody that he would be a fan of sticking to their draft board and trusting their evaluations on draft day.

I scrolled down and saw this

If Sam Bradford stays healthy, Eagles are Super Bowl material

Jerry is like the GM of my second favorite team The Mets... SA was barbecued over coals for 4 years... Now nobody is saying crap about how he built the team..

Good post
I largely agree with what you and @Idgit posted

I just want the cowboys to WIN

The credit can go to jerry and Jason and anybody else

If the Cowboys go 8-8 again this year Jerry will be the worst GM in football again lol.

"Of the six first-team All-Pro players in the study, the Cowboys have two: left tackle Tyron Smith and right guard Zack Martin. Center Travis Frederick makes for a third Pro Bowl selection on the offensive line, and Dallas even snagged guard La'el Collins, considered by many to have first-round talent, after he went undrafted following unusual circumstances. Last season the Cowboys' offensive line ranked first in adjusted line yards and Joseph Randle could be the next running back to take advantage of one of the league's most stacked units.

There are reasons for optimism on defense as well. DeMarcus Lawrence, who missed the first eight games last year with a broken foot, should be a Week 1 starter after notching a sack in both playoff games, including a huge forced fumble to clinch the win against Detroit. First-round pick Byron Jones should be the team's nickel corner, which is basically a starter in today's game. The Cowboys took a risk on Randy Gregory this offseason, but he's a very talented pass-rusher who should see the field on third downs. Linebacker Anthony Hitchens is also a likely starter after he showed as a rookie he was capable of playing each position in Rod Marinelli's defense."

I'm convinced that Jerry has been taken over by some other sentient being and is making all these shrewd moves.

Ok

Jerry is a football idiot of the highest order who was single-handedly responsible for almost 20 years of misery for cowboy fans

In the last 2 years, I give him credit for allowing real football people to make decisions so fans have real hope after a long long long long long..... time

Better ?

Beat me to it !!!

How do you explain his 3 Super Bowl Championships?

Thank you.
