I brought it up cause that injury got him this contract. If he don’t get injury in 2020 he’s gone.

He fails again this year. He’s gone.

The pressure is too much. He ain’t built for it.
LOLLLLL

So playing poorly for 5 games + a devastating injury = big new contract.

But playing poorly for 16 games + staying healthy = no contract?

You're really this dense or just trolling?

Who wrote this? Dak has a no trade clause, keep up! He can be cut but not traded.
Apparently, ESPN senior NFL national reporter Dan Graziano made the oversight in his article; then Bleacher Report's Joseph Zucker ompounds the error in his piece when he "references" (read - copies) Graziano's article without noticing the gaffe.

They will turn on him regardless....the only thing they would like about him is that he took Daks spot. Nothing can save him, except, maybe a SB and SB MVP. Other than that, he's cooked.
Dont "we" turn on every qb who doesnt do that?

Lol acting like its just dak. Got a couple guys saying "not about football".

Lets ask romo about it.

ESPN: Cowboys Save $34M on Cap If Dak Prescott Is Traded or Cut Before March 2024

Sooner or later, the Dallas Cowboys will have to put their money where their mouth is with star quarterback Dak Prescott.

The two-time Pro Bowler is due to be a free agent after the 2024 NFL season. ESPN's Dan Graziano noted Thursday, however, that the Cowboys will have a possible out out this offseason.

He wrote Dallas could save $34 million against the salary cap by trading or cutting Prescott before his roster bonus kicks in next March. He's due to have a $29 million base salary for 2024, and his bonus totals $5 million.

Graziano added that "the odds dramatically favor another Prescott extension that keeps him in Dallas long term." Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has signaled his desire to hold onto the 30-year-old while affirming his general confidence in the player.

Dak's cap hit is $59.45 million if he's kept without a restructure. Dak's dead cap hit is $61.95 million. We save his base salary of $29 million if he's cut or traded (and the $5 million roster bonus), but his prorated bonuses of $36 million over two void years would accelerate onto our cap. Now, we could spread that $61 million hit over two years, but those bonus hits, including $25 million next year, don't go away with either a trade or cut.

Question: What could possibly top the overinflated sports and social media hubbub over Dak Prescott's first contract extension?

Answer: Overinflated sports and social media hubbub over Prescott's second contract extension.

I am starting to wonder if teams are going to pause on paying quarterbacks $50 million + going forward. I believe Wilson, Murray, Rodgers, Herbert, Jackson and Hurts are all bad contracts. You are better off paying Bosa/Parsons $35 million and building your team. This season will show.
