We're going down the same path we went with Romo.
Trying to paper over our defensive inadequacies, for years Romo had to be perfect or almost perfect to get us wins, and now we are starting to expect the same of Dak, and he's in his second year. I can't believe there are serious fans, who know football and have the opinion that this is Dak's fault.
Dak has an OL and running game.. Romo had Julius Jones and Barber, the latter while being able to get yardage on sure grit, was rarely a threay to break anything open. Plus, Romo had Garrett as OC...
The difference is, we benched Romo for Dak, when Romo finally had the tools... Dak deserves all the criticism. It was SUper Bowl or bust these last two years, now everybody is talking about 'rebuilding' and 'growth', which Dak could have done while Romo played for the SB... Romo was better than Dak in practice and was better than him in his ownly playing time against the Eagles.. Threw faster, threw farther and the Philly coach backed off the blitz when Romo came in and Romo still scored with relative ease on his arm alone..
