FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Now it's official.

Here's the Hall of Fame Class of 2010: Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Russ Grimm, Rickey Jackson, John Randle, Floyd Little and Dick Lebeau.

During the announcement, thanks to TV, we saw Smith and Rice sitting next to each other and giving each other a fist pound and a hug.

We will hear from some of the guys in a moment.

I feel Randle is a HOF player, however, he doesnt deserve to be there before Haley. Haley had the stats, the domination, and if I am not mistaken, still the only player with 5 SB rings.

i was doing some remodeling earlier in the day and had espn news on for some backround noise and when i saw smith, rice , and grimm i knew those were locks.. others suprise me im some what young, randle was a monster i know that but others ????? lebeau is a beast at d coordinator. but at cb?

I am going to tell you what. I am a huge Ohio St. fan and I am a member of their scout message board and they are so pissed that he is not in. They immediately attack Irvin everytime Carter is passed over and say Carter is way better than Irvin and should be in before Irvin. I just say Carter has better stats but there is something about the importance of winning and being a VERY important part of a dynasty that Carter doesn't have.

They would be tearing into you if you called him overrated on that board.

Second: in your imagination land where no Cowboy can be the best at anything, a top 10 RB all time can say that.

I think it's one of those "forgive but not forget" comments.

I got over it after #31 Roy Williams knocked him out for the season.

Emmitt Smith's final years as a cowboy wasn't very good either, as soon as he became the rushing leader his playing time dropped and the Hambrick era (YIKES!) started.
