ESPN Dallas: Can right side of OL be saved?

I think Davis issues could be from the lack of a physical training camp and practices.

IMO that's why he played better once Dallas added practices in pads to the weekly mix. Players get sloppy with their technique when they're not having to make real use of it before Sunday.

I suspect that you may be right.

Even if we had career seasons out of David and Columbo that is fool's gold.
The guys are simply older players who really bang and take wear and tear on their bodies.

It is time to add new blood on the OL.

I won't cry if we bring back all the OL to camp but I'd cry if we don't have new talent to test them and replace them when the inevitable injury or age issue pops up.

I agree JT. I think that we need to draft good dependable talent and get to the business of developing it. However, I don't believe that we have time to wait for it. We have to get something out of a our current OL or we're done. We are in our window IMO. I think we have to get some production out of these guys or it's a wasted opportunity.

If Mark Colombo is still starting at RT next year, I'm going to pull a Snoopy and fall backwards. Then, I'm going to get on my dog house and be a World War II flying ace.

Davis' biggest problem is not his "bending" ability or his age, it is his heart. The guy just doesn't care. He doesn't have the drive to be the best, a desire to just wipe the defender opposite him off the face of the earth.

With Columbo, he has an overabundance of heart, just not enough knees left. Even with a heart as big as his, there is only so far you can go with blown tires. I hope Woicik can work some miracles on this guy's body, because attitudes are the only things you cannot replace, you either have it or you don't.
