I am blaming the offense as a whole. That unit did nothing and I do mean nothing for most of the second half of that game. Any chances they were given by the defense were squandered but yea It's the defense that is to blame. Here is a hint, you can't just turn things off in the middle of a game take it easy and just lean on the defense. If this is complimentary football where exactly is the offense pulling its weight?
You are joking right? Here is a hint. Learn football. The offense put up 34 freaking points. lol. If you score 34 points in the NFL. You should win the game. Lets please place the blame where it belongs.

The whole crew calling our defense soft and over-rated. 2 games, 1 sack in 72 drop backs in two weeks vs two of the worst OLs. Can’t stop the run inside or outside. Can’t cover on the outside. No chance at a SB with that soft defense, and they clarified that soft doesn’t mean they aren’t physical or sticking their heads in there, but mentally and emotionally soft. Not getting the job done or taking over games when given leads.

Dak was held accountable for the first INT, trying to do too much on 2nd and 18, but overall they think he played a very good game and is definitely not soft.

Moore got blasted for the 3rd down play at the end when his play call had 3 guys running fly and no one underneath, no Ceedee coming across the field. They called it a lazy play call with no situational awareness giving Dak no option but throwing low percentage pass on 3rd down.

Brown had to make that final 3rd down catch in overtime, no excuses. Ball where it was supposed to be.

Micah should have been commenting on Trevor Lawrence, not Hurts during the week.

If this defense doesn’t step up after the way they are being talked about, then it’s just hopeless.
yup back to needing 35-40 to win like 2020 that hard to do..the team made mistakes all led to that loss BUT the D is 75% responsible for the loss. both OT losses big leads Blown 75% on the defense..

go to find our CB to replace KJ/Brown that injury hurts most..hankins likely back for the playoffs, LVE and DA not sure..who else did we lose, cant remember. hopefully by the payoffs we can get this D glued back together

we have time we are already in and now have to use the next 3 games to get back on track..

The end result of that game falls on the offense. Forced fumble and all the offense needed to do was force Jacksonville to burn a timeout. Which means run the ball keep the clock ticking. What do these geniuses do? They have Dak under throw a pass to Noah brown which leads to an incompletion that stops the clock - preserves the Jags timeout. Yea somehow it's all on the defense.
We also stopped them in OT and only needed a FG.

Instead Dak threw a pick 6 to end the game.

Trevor Lawrence's defense also gave up 34 points.

The difference is he's talented and didn't throw a pick 6 in OT.

hes not wrong in saying that we should have run a play that madet he jags burn the last timeout but hes wrong in pointing the finger anywhere else but the defense after that bonehead playcall.

I remember a few weeks ago one of you created a thread if we could consider our defense generational, followed up by "This is better than the Bears defense of the 80s".

Thankfully most of us had enough common sense to say tap the brakes.
I never thought we were that good But losing Lewis, Brown., Hankins, LVE , and DA in and out other limped off yesterday and KJ being Toast has changed that narrtive,.must get DQ to find the players and defense to get this back on track.

we have 3 games to experiment with players , lineups and maybe playing a slightly different D ie more zone, more blitzing , less twists or whatever to get this going in the right direction for the WC game.

get back to the basics

No he just fumbled with the game on the line. Slow clap. Do you understand the game of football? Here is free advice. When you have a 3rd down. You dont send 3 guys on vertical routes with no help underneath. I know its hard for you to understand because you love blaming one person for a loss. Namely the QB. Because you dont like the guy. And thats fine. I am in agreement with you about drafting someone but we both know it wont happen. So this team needs to 1)get rid of Moore because while this may be the number 1 offense in football, situationally he's a complete buffoon and 2)not push anymore of Daks money down the road so we can get out of the contract sooner rather than later.

Very well deserving, everytime we start talking do look for a good game, DL starting talking before the egirls game and when our backup QB gets us within 3 to possibly do something, Hurts runs it down our throats without one pass to put the nail in the coffin and then 11 talking about Hurts before the Jags game and completely over looking Lawrence, he gets into the HOF on this game along.

I remember that thread. I laughed then but it's even funnier now.

Correction, the offense put up 27 points and then for some inexplicable reason just stopped playing football from the start of the 3rd quarter. Defense gets gassed and here comes the hapless Jags roaring back to take the lead 31-27. Offense wakes up and scores a TD, defense causes a turn over on Jacksonvilles next series while the Cowboys are up 34-27. Offense needs to literally just run the clock out and force the jags to burn a timeout - what do they do? They toss up an incomplete pass, stop the clock and punt. That right there was where the Cowboys lost the game, the boneheaded choice to throw a low % pass when all they needed to do was not get cute, run the ball and force the Jags to burn a timeout. If you think Football is some microcosm of "well the offense scored 34 points" then I'd suggest you take your own advice and actually learn some football.

The play call which you are referring to may be the dumbest play call I have ever seen. Moore has no situational football IQ at all.

If I don't understand football why are you 3 games away from losing a bet to me? What does that say about you? lol

Heart over brain. That's why.

Just because there's nothing we can do about Dak doesn't require me or you to defend his terrible play.

I don't know whose fault it was but the offense as a whole - as a unit deserves a lot of blame for the loss of that game starting with this habit of simply just stop playing through large parts of the game. We have seen this same trend even last season, offense is clicking everything is good, oh yes, let's put it in neutral and simply just stop play offense and instead keep going 3 and outs.

Good ... I hope the entire team gets ripped apart this week ...... They deserve it

I will give Zeke, Pollard, and Lamb a pass ..... Since they seem like they actually care.
