100% correct. Defense looks so soft right now. Unbelievable how much it’s dropped off. What’s up with israel mukuamu? Thought he played better than most of these young guys in preseason. Looks like cox will get his chance now, watch him come out and ball .. something just seems so odd with that situation

I am going to let the season play out before making any rash judgements. The defense was soft yesterday and they weren't swarming to the ball like they were earlier in the season. But this is the same defense that forced theh Lawrence fumble that should have sealed the win for Dallas. But Dallas is going through something right now, like the Bills earlier in the year and the Titans now. The need to suck it up and break out of it.

I will say this, losing LVE was huge yesterday. I like Damone Clark but he is young and inexperienced and makes mistakes. He will get better but right now he is not playing at the same level as LVE was. Losing LVE also exposes Barr more, and he is not playing like the Anthony Barr of old. He needs to step up or they should replace him too.

Finally, Dan Quinn owns this defense. He got tons of credit for the Cowboys defense when they were playing great, Now he deserves some of the blame for the defenses failures. Clearly, the pass rush has faded and that is the worst possible outcome considering the two starting CBs are out. Now he has to deal with the loss of LVE and Dorance Armstrong. If Quinn is so great he will right the ship at least a little.

And you guys say us Dak doubters are goal post movers......
Whos moving goal posts? I am just stating the obvious. You are making it seem like I made some crazy decision based on my heart and not my head when the decision is proving to be right lol.

You're bringing up total yards like that means anything when it comes to our bet.

Yup, LVEs presence was missed yesterday which is weird to say.

You are joking right? Here is a hint. Learn football. The offense put up 34 freaking points. lol. If you score 34 points in the NFL. You should win the game. Lets please place the blame where it belongs.
Yes, you should win the game but the offense should be able to control the ball and therefore the clock, not having a bunch of three and outs, The D has gone to crap, Dan Quinn evidently can't scheme a defensive game plan anymore, he let a one win team last week and a rookie QB this week hand him his arse, but the offense is just as culpable, maybe even more. When it really counted at the end, the D forced a fumble with little over a minute to go which should have been game over, and they then stopped Jville on their opening possession in OT.

They should. Micah..."I got to look at the film to see what went wrong" Were you not out there??? I'm almost done with mighty mouth. So sick of hearing the CEO speech after a defeat from McCarthy on down. Every time it's the same ole BS speech! You don't believe me? Go re watch the past speeches on youtube. Man. I just wish we had a real coach who would come in here and end this entitlement and excuses in this locker room. In BIG games you can't count on any coach we have in that locker room to make a difference.

The whole crew calling our defense soft and over-rated. 2 games, 1 sack in 72 drop backs in two weeks vs two of the worst OLs. Can’t stop the run inside or outside. Can’t cover on the outside. No chance at a SB with that soft defense, and they clarified that soft doesn’t mean they aren’t physical or sticking their heads in there, but mentally and emotionally soft. Not getting the job done or taking over games when given leads.

Dak was held accountable for the first INT, trying to do too much on 2nd and 18, but overall they think he played a very good game and is definitely not soft.

Moore got blasted for the 3rd down play at the end when his play call had 3 guys running fly and no one underneath, no Ceedee coming across the field. They called it a lazy play call with no situational awareness giving Dak no option but throwing low percentage pass on 3rd down.

Brown had to make that final 3rd down catch in overtime, no excuses. Ball where it was supposed to be.

Micah should have been commenting on Trevor Lawrence, not Hurts during the week.

If this defense doesn’t step up after the way they are being talked about, then it’s just hopeless.
The common theme in our 2 losses since Dak returned, spotted defense double digit leads in the 2nd half and they couldn't stop the other team. Our defense is very overrated.

Wait, what?!?! But Dak plays defense too. Dak was supposed to catch that final interception. Many on this site hate Dak for other reasons than football. The first int was on Dak...no question there. The second...on the receiver.....no question. The ball hit him in both of his hands. When an offense scores 34 points and and at one point up 27-10 and lose....it's on the defense. The defense has not been playing good the last two to three weeks. But many think Dak should win no matter what. And if the team doesn't....it's on Dak.

The end result of that game falls on the offense. Forced fumble and all the offense needed to do was force Jacksonville to burn a timeout. Which means run the ball keep the clock ticking. What do these geniuses do? They have Dak under throw a pass to Noah brown which leads to an incompletion that stops the clock - preserves the Jags timeout. Yea somehow it's all on the defense.

The defense gave up 500+yds including 200 on the ground. So ya it’s definitely the defense’s fault if we want to play the blame game.

I’ve thought the defense was overrated all year but it’s pretty easy and convenient for these guys to pile on now when we are down to 4th and 5th string corners and missing injuries all over. No excuses for the piss poor play

this board is chock full of dipsticks. Dak is not without blame but some of thes picks are not his fault. The first one yesterday was. This board has just about reached unbearable points with all the scholars here.
Who is saying Dak is without blame? But a defense allowing 500 yards has to be called out. That's just inexcusable. And one of those drive was with BOTH of their tackles on the sidelines. With two backups, we got zero pressure and zero run stops.

have you read the front page man I agree with you i blame the defense. Its those pinning this on dak when he played rather well. I also think their OC played smart they got the ball out of Lawerence hands quick.
