ESPN Dorks Predicting a Commanders win

a Commanders win this weekend, tonight. "They are hitting on all cylinders, defense is blablablabla" I almost threw up. and they were saying it in the generic East Coast Sports Talk Radio voice, that they think makes them knowledgable sounding. aaaaahhhhh Rhome, you ruined it for all sports.

screw espn

It's not just ESPN, I have seen a lot of expert analysts from media outlets all over the country say the same thing.

I'm not sure what the debate is about anyway, we have nothing to play for and they are a red hot team looking to secure a wildcard spot. Even if this game had meaning for us we probably weren't going to win in Washington anyway considering this rivalrys recent history.

The skins are playing for their playoff lives while we're playing pretty much a preseason game, they should win this game but how sweet would it be if they didn't?

I dont know.... that stadium was called FED TEX for a while there.... last year we lost on a blocked FG and had a TD dropped by TO... so I cant say I remember any "recent history'' where we lost alot to them there?

I'm not sure what the debate is about anyway, you guys have nothing to play for and we are an average team looking to sneak into the playoffs. Even if this game had meaning for you guys, the Cowboys probably were going to win in Washington anyway considering this rivalrys recent history.

Fixed it for ya!

Could happen, but nobody's #2's are better than anybody's #1's. The 49ers #1's would probably beat the patriots' #2's. There is usually a fairly high drop off between your first and second stringers.

At any rate, this should be a good game. Any boys/skins game is ALWAYS close, and I expect nothing different this time around.

depends, if you're a rebuilding team like the '9ers, and are young across the board, w/ your starters, then the dropoff isn't going to be that significant

I'm tellin you the only back-up garunteed to see major time are Brad Johnson, Corey Proctor, probably McQuistern and Free, and Alan Ball. We rotate too much on the d-line so they'll play like any other game. We'll probably see more Spencer and Carpenter, but they usually play some anyway. Barber and Jones will split carries all game as uaual, Some more WRs will see time (Stanback and Glenn) but we're not deep enough to sit Crayton.

It doesnt matter, the Seahawks will roll over the Skins in round 1.

I am 90% confident we will be playing the Bucs, I dont see either wildcard team winning.

We should beat the Bucs by 2 TDs, they lost to the freaking 49ers.

if the skins face the Bucs, expect a rematch of their '05 wildcard game

a patheticly(SP, tired), low-scoring affair

I actually also think the redskirts are probably gonna win the game as well. Don't think our starters will play much in the game.

Hodge said it wouldn't matter if we played our starters or not the Commanders will win the game.

There was so much cowboy hate in those 2 segments. Not only can the Commanders win vs our starters, but bretts going to get the monkey off his shoulder like payton (finally win the big one) by finally winning in Dallas.

I enjoyed the hate so much that I got aroused.

Dallas loses a game vs a divisional rival by 4, the cowboys are no longer the superbowl favorite in the NFC and will probably be one and done. They wont win #1 seed. They don't have a chance.

The packers lose a game vs a divisional rival by 28, and as a result they lose HFA. The packers are now the superbowl favorite in the NFC and will go into Dallas and will win. They didn't win the #1 seed, but they don't need it. The packers offense will play better in the controlled environment of Texas stadium.

Media logic at its finest.

They played us extremely close with our starters last time?

They need this win to extend their season?

There is huge speculation that our starters may not play much?

I see no problem with the prediction that the Commanders will win.

Neither do I, but most analysts and fans (including our own fanbase) are acting like it is a foregone conclusion.

I think the betting lines for this game are way out of whack. I think Wade and co. will try to win the game, no matter who's on the field for us.

I think we're gonna only rest our banged up starters. Most guys will play and you guys are over looking one thing.........their quarterback is Todd Collins!:lmao2: :lmao: :laugh1: :lmao2: :lmao: :laugh1: I mean seriously Todd Collins, I just can't take a team with him at the helm seriously

You should. He has won 2 games against teams that were actually trying to win. Brad Johnson at his age led 3 different teams to top 5 offenses and won a Superbowl. .... Just a little perspective. :starspin

What is the line?

It should also be noted that the Titans are a 3 point favorite on the road against the Colts, in the Dome.

So the Cowboys are not the only ones with weird betting lines.

I really don't see why this is such a big deal to everyone.

Personally, I think we would struggle against anyone if we don't have Terrell owens.

I would not be susprised if the Skins do win. I highly doubt the Cowboy starters will play the entire game and some with minor injuries may not play at all. Skins have the playoffs if they can win so you know they will come out on fire at home.
