I doubt that it was EVERY route. But I see what you are saying.

It just boggles my mind why we didnt use the shorter slant routes with Owens. Imagine if Romo and Owens got that route locked in and sync'd.

Anyhooo
I sure hope we call those more next season. screen passes too.

I think that was difference in him staying or going. If we were using and executing those routes then he would have been happy and we would be winning and things wouldnt have went south like they did.

Romo was late on a decent amount of them as in they were behind Owens. I think that was because #1 the jam threw the timing off and #2 Romo just flat out needs to get better at throwing slants and especially fades now that Roy is here.

That red CB stat is for 8 games, not 14. I apologize. I double checked Vela's analysis, and now I remember being criticised, in epic threads, for using the eight game sample for Owens' red CB stat. The eight game sample was the best information available. The 14 game sample was for Owens' overall YPA, against all of Joyner's categorized CBs, not for his red stat. Again, my apologies.

Owens overall YPA ended up being 7.8 YPA for 2008. That is three tenths higher than the 14 game sample.

Terrell Owens Overall YPA (According to K.C. Joyner):

2007: 9.7 YPA
2008: 7.8 YPA

Joyner's overall YPA counts Owens' production vs red, yellow, green, and unrated CBs according to Joyner.

Again, the 2.0 YPA or red stat is only for half the returns.

While the jam was an issue for Owens. The throws were usually behind TO rather than in front. So I dont know if that was the real problem.

I think NOT making it their bread and butter was the problem.

The ENTIRE free world would be better off without #sissy1.

We were soooo close a few off seasons ago. Damn!
