Judging by your age, I'd guess that you chose to root for the Cowboys because they were on top when you started following football. Feel free to talk smack about the accomplishments of complete strangers. I don't recall Staubach hoisting the trophy and thanking big dog cowboy for throwing a key block, catching that pass, or swigging that beer. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

I'm not taking it to heart at all. I don't live through the accomplishments of others. I simply cheer for my favorite teams who happen to be my hometown teams. I don't pretend I'm cool if my team wins, and I don't think I'm a failure if my team loses. If I did, I'd cherry pick my favorite teams like you do. I'd have a brand new Colts hat next to my Whitesox hat, my Trojans hat, my Tarheels hat, my Spurs hat, and whatever team is good at hockey hat.
