High ankle sprain? Is that what they are calling it today?

"fractured his fibula"

"broke his leg AND a high ankle sprain"

"WebJan 25, 2023 · Running back Tony Pollard underwent surgery Tuesday to repair ligaments from a high ankle sprain he suffered in the Cowboys' playoff loss Sunday, a source told ESPN's Todd Archer."

"After the game, news came out that Pollard's injury was more severe than initially reported. The first-time Pro Bowler was reported to have fractured his left fibula on the play. He reportedly will need surgery."

In any case, "fully healthy" does not mean NFL ready. There is also a psychological element to healing after an injury. How much confidence will he have in making cuts? Will it effect his decision making?

32 teams would love to sign Zeke, but not for the salary he requires to heal a bruised ego.
Sorry I have to disagree with the bolded part at the bottom. 32 teams would not love to sign Zeke. Zeke’s weaknesses outweighs the things he still can do.

He is legit only good for short yardage plays anymore.

How moronic is it? They get clicks and viewers, as well fans discussing it. Such as you just had your input. :muttley:
Child please. I love the forum and making comments but sure as hell wouldn’t click on nor bother to read any article with the title of this thread.

I think Zeke can still be a 4.x ypc back.

He played with the hyper extended knee for the last 3rd of the season.

and still played hard.

Jerry didnt want to pay elite $$$ to an aging back.

And you don't think a team could use a reliable short yardage runner?

Last season no RB made more first downs in 3rd or 4th down with 1 or 2 yards to go, including goal to go. On 26 attempts he made 19 1st downs and 3 TD's. That is an 84.6% success rate, ranking him #2 behind only James Connor.

Obvioulsy, he's not worth even close to what he was making, perhaps not even close to his present contract demands. However, that doesn't mean he doesn't have some attributes that teams would like to have.

The biggest issue is he has 2 seasons in a row where injuries slowed him down significantly and killed his production in the second half of the season

Which is a big concern for an aging RB with a lot of career Carries.

It’s a big IF on if he can stay spry for a full 17 game season plus playoffs

And again. Not a knock on Zeke. It’s just what happens to older worn down RB’s. It’s the nature of the nfl.

Fournette is not the same thing and you know it. Cook will get a shot. Zeke is out because he sucks.
It’s not a Zeke thing. He’s considered done just like Fournette not sure why you say Fournette is different? Y’all act like Zeke hurt y’all.

We have some of the most hateful and ignorant fans there are.

So a positive thing from Zeke to Tony, and we get the thread taken over with hate immediately. This is why Stephan A. Smith hates Dallas...as he always claimed, it is because of the fans.
Like Philthy fans are any better. Or the classless San Franthisco fans...

That has nothing do do with us.
So because they are classless, Dallas fan need to be classless as well?

If they jumped off a bridge, would you do the same?
