I'm just glad this whole Favre drama crap over whether he was coming back is over. Personally i thought he should of retired as he'll probably be as crappy as last year considering the team is the exact as last years and Walker wants out even more probably now that he knows Favre is coming back

I can see Favre on pace to beat last season's paltry 29 interceptions, easily.

The bottom line...he has 3 million reasons to come back.

After this year, he won't make that kind of salary ever again in his life.

And don't tell me $$ didn't affect his thinking. Favre hawks everything from toothpaste to riding lawnmowers.

The guy has made a base of 16M over the last 3 years. Probably another 10M in incentives and marketing.

I dont think he is really in a financial bind.

He came back because he wanted to and the Packers were stupid enough to play to his ego.

Favre is just coming back to pad the ole bank account this time. HE knows that the Pack is not going to win this year and he won't be around next year. He is just there to take the money and run and will impede That Aaron Rogers kid's development.

I've been a big Favre fan over the years but I've just about lost any use for him now. The man speaks with forked tongue.

You guys are also forgetting that he's 25 TDs away from breaking Marino's all-time record. And 10 wins (which GB probably won't get) from breaking Elway's record for most wins as a starting QB.

I agree....although I respect him greatly as a QB, I have watched all his interviews and he basically thinks his crap doesn't stink.

Calling himself an icon several weeks back made me lose respect for him as a person. Icons are labeled that by other people, not themselves.

Perhaps people, but don't fool yourselves. One year ago, Bledsoe Vs Favre, to come to Dallas and be starting QB, the stampede would have killed Bledsoe getting to Favre-29, 35, or 40 INTs the previous year. You can deny it past that point, but we all know how many wanted to "kill" themselves when they got the word that Parcells was bringing in another former outcast and also the fanbase dramatics leading up to that signing- heck, lets not dismiss last season during the season and how many rose that arm and never stopped pointing the finger his way for every little thing that went wrong with this team towards the end of the season, or even now and how many are still against him.

From the way I look at it, two players in this league this upcoming season will be out to prove the entire world wrong- I mean be out to do that and actually be capable of success. Ironically the Packers have one and we have the other.

NFC Starting ProBowl
QB: Brett Favre
WR: Terrell Owens

Oh wait I'm wrong on our side of the ball... Terry is the one that's going to have the MONSTER season to shatter all WR records set before. It's like duh, TO who, how could I have forgot that. Terry is god and his sperm trickles gold.

In your opinions, how does Bret Favre's decision impact on Javon Walker's chances of staying at Green Bay?

Good now we can stop hearing about it everyday and all the Packer fans can come in off the ledge.

I don't think it does at all. Brett spoke out in the media about Javon's threatened holdout last year. Then Javon got hurt without getting his new contract. Javon will stay only if the Packers come to him with wallet open. I don't see that happening.
