Dallas leads Green Bay (who was 10-1) by 3 in the 4th quarter and Dallas does what they have to do to win the game. Yet some of those clowns on ESPN still don't think Dallas is as good as Green Bay.

New England has to scrap and claw and get some referee help to beat the hapless 4-8 Ravens and New England is the greatest football team in the entire history of the history of the entire history of the entire universe, heck they act like Bill Belichick and Brady invented football and just can't wait to hand them the Lombardi/Belichick, (as Salisbury sometimes says) trophy!

I don't start threads very often and I don't whine about ESPN too much because I know how they are and just accept them for who they are but I just needed to rant, the hypocrisy gets to me once in awhile! SORRY, don't torch me too bad!:

I'd rather the spotlight be on the Pats. Let the media gush all over them. The season isn't over yet.

Exactly what huge plays did Brady make? He got extremely lucky on three
4th down plays and was having big problems with the wind. I actually think we are better suited for playoff weather than both the Packers and the Patriots. I'd be a little more concerned with the Steelers who are built for the playoffs if they bring their A game.

Did you hear during the pre-game show about how the ESPN crew were talking about dynasties during the 70's, 80's 90's and now this Pats team?

During the 70's thay praised the Steelers, praised the 80's for the 9ers and praised the "91 eagles defense" during the 90's!

Not a friggen mention of the 92, 93 Cowboys AT ALL! Nothing, nada, nilch...not a peep about the great Cowboy teams of the 90's...

ESPN makes me sick to my stomach!

Thats why I don't watch unless i am forced to. And the only person I can stand is Woody, other than that, I don't watch.

Well, to be fair, they were referring to specific defenses and specific offenses. Although I did fell a little scorned when they weren't mentioned.

No I didn't get to see any of it, I was at work. But really!! The Eagles defense???? What!!!???? Weren't they good for about 2 years in the 90s and Dallas still dominated them 1 of those years that they were good and every other year outside of that. That's pathetic of them to make that the only thing of note about the 90s!

Offense, defense, special teams, cheerleaders, coaches, whatever!

Not to mention that the Cowboys had any of those is what is disgusting. They won 3 friggen SuperBowls! You don't just do that without having something great about your team.

But, to not mention the Cowboys offense, hell, even their defense during the 90's is disrespectful, IMO.

I dont know why anybody is surprised about ESPN, or any other media outlet for that matter, to praise the patriots. THEY ARE 12-0 for crying out loud.

Some of it is justified, some of it isnt, but what do you expect.

This is who they asked. Parcells said 85 Bears defense, Tom Jackson said Steelers of the 70's defense, Key said the Patriots were the best offense he'd seen, and I think Young led it off with the 89 49ers offense and the 91 Eagles defense. If Irvin were there, he would have said all 3 of our SB teams would take out the Pats.

They won't be gushing about them after the Stealers had them their heads next week. What will the refs do though, what with their two favorite teams playing each other?!!?

If Clyde Simmons didn't die, that defense would have been devastating for a number of years.
