ok, all i have to say, most of you say Hall is a bad locker room guy, and he cant cover, so we will see in 2 weeks when we play the Commanders in dc. I just hope your right about hall, and he isnt a good player and we can torch him like most of you say we can.

The Skins aren't the Cowboys -we'll never see a story about their locker room "turmoil!"

Commanders agreed to terms with CB DeAngelo Hall on a one-year contract.

It's the best possible move for Hall, who probably won't make much more than the minimum for the rest of the season but can try for a multi-year deal next spring. He will not, however, ever get the kind of money Oakland signed him for. Hall will probably start out as a dime back behind Carlos Rogers, Shawn Springs, and Fred Smoot. By season's end, he could overtake Smoot. Hall can also return punts, where Antwaan Randle El has struggled

HALL TO THE Commanders
Posted by Mike Florio on November 7, 2008, 2:14 p.m.

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that cornerback DeAngelo Hall has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Washington Commanders.

We’ve confirmed the news, and we’re told that it’s for the same prorated $1 million salary he would have received if he had stayed in Oakland.

We’re also told that the contract contains a commitment that the Commanders won’t use the franchise tag on Hall in 2009.

His selection of the Commanders resulted in part from the fact he grew up close to Washington, and that he was a Commanders fan while growing up.

Hall spent a lot of time talking with defensive backs coach Jerry Gray, and Hall likes the team’s extensive use of press coverage.

So, in the end, he’ll make the same amount he would have made in Oakland if he’d agreed to waive the injury guarantee applicable to the $16.5 million in 2009 bonus money and salary. And he’ll be an unrestricted free agent after the season.

And he’s playing for a 6-3 team that is competing for a playoff berth.

I wouldnt call it good news.....

48 tackles, 16 pass defended, 3 Ints so far in 2008

The only reason he has those is because teams have thrown at Nhamdi Asomugha like 10 times all year.

Hall prolly gets thrown at like 15 times a game :laugh2:

Even though DeAngelo Hall wanted to take the weekend to consider 15 or more scenarios for a new team, Hall decided Friday to accept a one-year deal from the Washington Commanders, according to his agent, Joel Segal.

Hall
According to a source, Hall agreed to a one-year deal that is worth $492,000 the remainder of the season.

The Raiders released the cornerback Wednesday, eight games after signing a seven-year, $72 million contract.

He walked away with $8 million this year and a chance to sign with a new team.

The New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers were among the teams most active in trying to recruit Hall.

The Commanders are on a bye, so Hall won't make his first appearance in a Commanders uniform until next week.

You guys act like he blows.....?!?!??!

He is a talent and they just stole him.

Were you expecting Dallas to sign him to sit behind Newman, Henry, Scandrick and Jenkins? Would he want to sign and sit behind those guys?

He doesn't blow, but he is not a special player, either. He is not as good as Rogers, Smoot or Springs.

And the Commanders didn't steal him. He was given away by the Raiders after they over paid for him. He was available to everyone at a cheap price.

If we were bringing him on to be a #1 or #2 corner, then I would be worried. With springs hurt, we have had a lot of depth issues at corner. Take the pittsburgh game for example, where Leigh Torrence was matched up against hines ward.

Hall is not the shutdown corner that the media makes him out to be. However, he will be a very good nickel corner for us, and should be a good addition to the secondary.

Also, with depth issues at strong safety, this may allow springs to get more reps back there in case of emergency.
