If we were bringing him on to be a #1 or #2 corner, then I would be worried. With springs hurt, we have had a lot of depth issues at corner. Take the pittsburgh game for example, where Leigh Torrence was matched up against hines ward.

Hall is not the shutdown corner that the media makes him out to be. However, he will be a very good nickel corner for us, and should be a good addition to the secondary.

Also, with depth issues at strong safety, this may allow springs to get more reps back there in case of emergency.

How much you want to bet he gets paid like he should be your #1? Don't kid yourself, at some point the Commanders will make him a starter.

I can only hope that Garrett is paying attention and moves TO around to make sure he gets him matched up with Hall in your nickel. If that happens it's good night Commanders for sure.

It's a one year deal. Most likely he is getting near the minimum, and the contract is very incentive loaded.

The rationalization has begun, I see.

I don't care if they gave him 10 million dollars or peanuts. This is GREAT news if they put him on the field and TO, or Roy for that matter, are able to get matched up on him.

I was against this move, but I'll accept him and think we got a good deal

He was a locker room cancer at Virginia Tech, just a bad team mate and since I went to Tech at the same time he did I know plenty of things that he did to alienate well everybody

Hopefully he has matured and grown up. I am not counting on it though

But for 450 for the rest of the year, his punt return ability alone makes it worth it

Yes, those 13 punts he's returned in 4 years have been impressive.

And he only fumbled twice in 13 returns, so that is awesome.

HA! I didn't know he'd only returned 13. From the way I'd heard some talk about his return skills I figured he regularly returned punts.

IF HALL GETS HURT HE WILL STILL GET THE 16 MILLION IN INJURY SETTLEMENT?

no. afaik because he cleared waivers he has no deal anymore so the skins will make a completely new one with him.

Hall's return numbers for his career (note, didn't have any this year with the Raiduhs)

Punt return: 13 for 123, 9.5 average, no TDs

Kick return: 3 for 93, for a 31 average, no TDs

....clearly, he's the next Devin Hester... or Patrick Crayton... beats me.

Should be a good addition at nickle or dime corner, and maybe returning a punt once in a while. I'd like to see moss back there returning more punts, though. They guy can flat out make people miss.

I have seen him make some pretty damn impressive punt returns with my own eyes many times over his 3 years at Virginia Tech (his last year at VT he had 4 punt returns for TD's and a defensive score)

He will be returning punts for us more regularly. ARE sucks at it

The funny thing with D'Lo is out of the context of football he is a great guy. Married a very nice girl. In the locker room though, he is cocky as hell and one of the most arrogant guys to ever play at Virginia Tech.

So am I too pleased? No not really. For the price and his potential ability, I will take him

I think Hall would be a good aquisition for a lot of teams. And with that kind of contract your team gave him this is a win-win situation for both.

If we weren't set at CB with Newman returning and possibly Jones too i guess we would have been pushing for him. As a third CB and even as #2 this is a really good deal (as i mentioned already).

Good pickup - congrats. And i hope for a great game!

HAHAHAH what!?!? This has to be a joke.

I wouldn't say it is a joke. Deangelo is a locker room cancer. But he's fairly clean off the field.

Pacman is clean on the field. But he's a grade A knucklehead off of it.

I'd say Pacman is a distraction and Deangelo is a cancer. I wouldn't expect any trouble from him this year though, but if you do sign him long term, he could cause problems.
