BTW, Jenkins has 18 tackles and 3 passes defended per NFL.com with one INT. Does anyone here think he's not any good?

A rookie compared to the $8 million dollar man?

Weak.

PFTalk.com seemed to allude to the fact that with Hall coming in, that Shawn Springs was on the way out.

Now there's a cornerback I wouldn't mind signing.
You and me both.

Yeah, but unlike Hall, he plays well when he does.

And as an added bonus, he doesn't cost $8 million!

You might want to check on the number of TD's he allowed over the past two seasons.

Or the fact that the Raiders paid him $8 million for 8 games and were happy to be rid of him.

And if saying he's better than their 4th and 5th corners is the best thing you can say...

That's not the best I can say. That's the worse I can say disregarding the lockeroom cancer stuff which may still be true. You still hear that about TO so I take that with a grain of salt.

The Raiders guaranteed him 25 million and he got a big signing bonus. He had more than 16 million more in guaranteed salary if he became injured. Allegedly that was the reason for the release. Hall was having problems playing in the Raiders press coverage and admitted it. With all the upheaval in Raiderland I have no idea what to think but I don't judge players coming out of bad team in chaos.

I haven't heard TO described as a locker room cancer. A lot of other things maybe, but I've never heard teammates have a bad thing to say about him - even with all that mess in Philly.

Yeah, but that was after they had given him $8 million already! If they wanted him at all, is $16 million a lot to pay for 6 more years when you've already given the guy $8 million?

Maybe if it was the first time, I'd give him a bit of a benefit of the doubt. But it isn't.

It's not even the second time.

I'm glad he'll be the Commanders' problem.

Yes I've heard TO be called a locker room cancer and many other things. People love to hate. And the whole point was the Raiders were afraid he would get 'injured' and they would be on the hook for his entire contract. Now that may be the Raiders being crazy or they may have gotten wind of something. Either way you don't throw more money at a bad investment. I don't think that's it though. Supposedly Al Davis is having financial problems and I can see them unloading expensive players esp when Davis doesn't see this team winning at all much less winning big.

Like I said. We'll see what kind of talent he has. I'm not letting my hatred of the Skins cloud my perceptions. It's a low risk signing and could help the Skins. If he doesn't work out then they've wasted a roster spot.

Actually, this has nothing to do with the Commanders. It doesn't matter where he ended up.

I thought Hall sucked in Atlanta, I thought he sucked in Oakland, and I think he'll suck in Washington.

Well I don't think he sucks. I think he's got a big mouth and some personality problems. He's fast as hell. And he is talented enough to make a play here and there. I'd have rather he went to the AFC instead of the NFC East. But we'll see how well he can play. I'll bet big money he gets enough snaps to notice him next week. I'm not saying he's going to hurt us. I'm saying he could improve the Skins. I don't like even the possibility of that happening.

Randal Williams was 'fast as hell' too - didn't make him a good football player either.

I like the fact that we may see him soon.

He'll get burnt just like the last time we saw him in Atlanta.

He will serve as nickel back

and Return man

He has the same character issues as Pacman and Tank and none of the three have a once of common sense i despise people who take the talent and blessing they have and drag them through the mud it does no mater if they wear Burgundy and Gold or Silver and Blue.

I agree.

as I asked the guy yesterday, how many more times do you need to see this guy get roasted before you think he does suck?

I'm glad he's in Washington...our receivers will eat him alive, and its a virtual lock he'll be a cancer there, just as he was in Atlanta and Oakland

Well Randal Williams never went to a Pro Bowl. Hall has made plays. He may very well get burned but wishful thinking won't do the trick. Until he proves he's washed up I'll take a wait and see attitude. I expect him to help them out a little but not make much difference. I do not expect him to suck though.

Some info regarding Hall's 'abbreviated stay' in Oakland:

In his eight games in Oakland, Hall was beaten 40 times for 552 yards on 66 passes thrown his way, according to data compiled by STATS LLC. He gave up more yards than any defender this season and was tied for third worst in catches allowed.

Yeah, I'm quakin' in my boots over Hall in Washington...

Everyone knows the stats. I've seen them. I also know you can't look at stats isolated from anything else. Do the Raiders have a pass rush? Did Hall care? Did he want out of that circus? Or is it just he suddenly can't cover anyone? Or is he a bad apple? Is he doping? I don't know any of that but I have seen the guy play. I've never liked him but he was a decent CB. I expect him to play decently for the Skins.

Now whether or not he does is conjecture. He hasn't done anything yet.

And for the third or fourth time, we'll find out come next week. I don't ever think my opponent sucks. I think they are better than me and if I don't play my best I'll get beat. That way I never underestimate someone or get surprised. If he 'sucks' then they'll burn him repeatedly and he'll get yanked. In fact if he 'sucks' I doubt he'll see much playing time. Until then I'm outta here with this conversation.

We'll see. I hope you guys are right and we burn him over and over. I'm not counting on it. But I'll be happy if that happens.

A new corner on Washington is the least of the problems for Dallas . They should worry about keeping Romo upright first.
