ESPN: If Cooper Rush is a lock, where do the Cowboys go light?

I would only keep 2 QBs and the 2nd one would be Rush. If Dak goes down, let Rush play. They're going to lose if Moore has to play meaningful football anyway.

My guess is they go light on Kellen Moore
Exactly. Why is this even a discussion? If Dak goes down, I want Rush to play way before I want Moore to play.

Rush seems as though he would still give us a chance to win. Moore?....not so much...

Cut Moore, make him a coach if he is that smart, why is this so difficult? Are they watching the games, he is not an NFL caliber QB and it is not even close.

Cut Moore and put him on PS when he inevitably clears waivers.
You might want to think twice about putting Moore on the Practice Squad; if you do that he becomes the de facto scout team quarterback and that is who are starting defense will face in the weeks leading up to games. It would be better to have a QB in that position who can actually do a fair impression of an NFL-caliber QB.

I'm trying to picture which team is out there hoping the Cowboys cut Moore so they can claim him. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats, perhaps?

Lol... I am fine with just outright cutting him. Just making the concession since the FO sees something in him that no one else apparently does

Could even go light on the DL....with Paea, THornton, Collins healthy and a surplus of ends in Crawford, Mayowa, Charlton, Moore and Tapper we don't really have to go with much more than that.

The real issue will be when the guys get off suspension, but it is possible at that point that injuries will open up some room.

Linehan...not the FO.

I've been doing some research and apparently there is a connection between Kellen Moore's dad, Tom Moore, and Linehan. They either played on the same college team or coached the same team at some point. The details I have found thus far are spotty, but I think that might be the connection that keeps Kellen around.

Funny exchange on Twitter just now, not that I want Brian Broaddus doing my taxes but this was funny.

A guy tweeted that the coaches were idiots for playing Kellen Moore. His response were they were the same coaches that gave you Dak Prescott.

Top 5 NFL preseason passers .........looks whose #2. For anyone wondering, Cooper Rush is #7

Tough decisions at QB, TE, LB, and DB esp CB.

They can go light on OL since they have versatility. My guess is :

LT: Smith
ST: Green
LG: Cooper
C: Fred
RG: Martin
RT: Collins

Backups:

ST: Green
C: Cooper
G: Too many for me to predict-Bell, Burton.......

Nine with 7-8 dressing game day

Skipper and ?Burton go to PS

A lot of fans don't know that Linehan/Wilson were more responsible for Dak than the scouts. Twitter is probably a difficult place to explain that.

There is absolutely no value in keeping a guy whose arm is so weak he can't even be a viable backup
Give Cooper all the Reps sign a young guy that will clear waivers and go on the practice squad as a developmental project.
