10 mill would be appropriate for a coach of his stature -- player salaries are escalating -- why not HCs -- there is no salary cap for these guys.

He is a proven winner in the League over a loooooooooooooong period of time. Combine that with the Super Bowl Ring he got a couple of years ago and Cowher can literally name his price.

All mortenesen said was he thinks that the browns will finish 6-10 and that the owner is going to clean out everybody, coaches and management and then bring in Bill cowher as coach and gm.

Espn isnt reporting anything. People take bits and pieces of things and then pass them around just like this.

So again, it was mortensen speculating that Crennel and savage will be fired after another poor season and then the browns will bring in cowher, the old browns assitant as head coach and gm and be the nfls first 10 million dollar coach.

Even if that exact situation doesn't play out, it is no stretch of the imagination to think that Cowher will be coaching in the NFL next season (after taking a much-deserved year off) and will demand a crapload of money. In fact that's what many NFL writers and analysts, not just Mort, have been saying will happen since Cowher first resigned from Pittsburgh a few months ago.

So it was the renowned lack of talent on the Cowboys? Ability and championship's don't always correlate.

Cowher had 2 appearance's in 15 years. BY MY MATH THAT"S PRETTY CLOSE TO Landry's 5 in 29. OBTW, find me a source that say's the reason Pitt didn't win more bowls was the poor coaching. That staff was considered one of the best in the business for years.

And the ONLY team i hate more than Pitt is the Skins.
