I had a feeling that once Jerry got the last word, he would stay...

Say hello to your next Cowboys coach...

This is good news...

Great news!! This salvages the (off-) season for me. I love Garrett and look forward to the day he is the face of the franchise.

I din't think he was going anywhere.
If he's as Princeton smart as he's touted to be, he knew his best option is to stay a Cowboy.

Going to teams that have nothing really in place would just make him look bad. The Cowboys have 90% of a great thing in place and it's probably all going to be his as inheritance.

I agree.

I wonder, deep down, how Wade feels about this.

This could be somewhat awkward this coming season unless Jerry has a specific plan in place and has told Phillips about it. Wade has to know that this could very well be his last year as head coach.

All Garrett needs now is a fedora, and he'll be the next Tom Landry. ;)

Actually it makes sense. With Bill taking all his guys with him,
this allows Garrett and Wade to put together a whole new staff
right here. Why go else where when you're teams is already here.

who cares how Wade feels, he didn't get it down. The defense still wasn't as good as we thought it would be.

I never doubted it for a minute. I think he'll be our Head Coach in 2009 when we launch the new stadium.
