ESPN MacMahon: Choice drops hints of frustration

"We've got plays, but we've got to run them," said Choice, who averages 5.6 yards per carry. "We've got to call them. You can only do what they call."

Sounds like TO last year when asked about his performance...

So...where exactly is Choice hinting at frustration?

God, I hate sports journalists...

MacMahon trying to create controversy where there is none.

I like Choice A LOT. Since he broke out vs PIT last year, I've advocated making him the starter w/ Barber the short yardage/3rd down back and Felix being a change-of-pace that can come in on any down, but could be better used as a pass catcher.

I still think that's the best thing for this team. You have 3 good athletes. I think given the reps, they can make LBs lives miserable as pass catchers. Fact remains, they're the best unit on the team and should be used as much as possible in every part of the offense (IMO).

:laugh1: another offensive player who see's Coach Tecmo's brilliance

I almost hope he gets fired this offseason and then we end up having a far worse offense next year just to shut you up with your Anti-Garrett agenda.

He's not perfect, but you're crazy that you think he's as bad as you believe.

This is the first week that I've been a proponent of giving MBIII less carries. Choice indeed has more burst, and is much better at going north and south.

Only problem is he doesn't have the strength or tenacity that Barber has. With that being said, I think Choice starting would be beneficial because that's when you need to go north and south and have that burst once you receive the handoff.

Then switch it up with our home-run hitter, then bring in Barber for goal-line/short yardage and 4th quarter.

He's coaching a team with a top 10 qb, the best tight end and a top 5 rb trio and he got basically shut out in a game. He is every bit as bad as Rampage thinks and has been since the 07 playoff game.

Not sure why anyone is dumping on DaBoyz there....

He is right. Owens said something similar.

Yeah, situations are different; yeah, the players' history are different.... I know. But it does sound like the comment Owens made.

Whatever, the offense was top 5 before Tecmo got here, what has he done that is impressive in even the smallest way?

Even if the article doesn't sound as fierce as the headline, can there be any doubt in anyone's mind that Choice is frustrated?

I mean come'on, the guy has done very well in a limited role. He's watched Barber not exactly tear-it-up this season.

Having 3 talented backs it one too many.

If Barber has any trade value this offseason, I'd peddle him so fast it would make your head swim.
Agreed. Choice is younger and performing better. Although his production will probably drop with more carries, I still see him being more effective than Barber.

This is pure backup quarterback syndrome, where everyone thinks the guy not playing will replace the starter and magically become better. You think ginger is going to call better plays if TC starts? You think the slobs are actually going to block better if TC starts?

Frustration: MacMahon interperets quotes like a 4 year old kid with autism attempting a Calculus 2 anti-derivative problem.

Choice: no frustration. Hunger. There's a difference.

What dat? You can keep that fancy new math stuff. Most of us can count to 10 and add and minus just fine here in kansas.

Context and how he is deliberately misusing it is the problem for me. The situations are completely different thus so is the context and he knows that.

Well honestly I can't blame the writer here folks, I saw the Choice video for myself. He does seem a bit fustrated at the lack of carries, especially since Barber is fumbling so much.

I object to Felix on KRs....he looks like the opening title sequence of the 6 million dollar man or even baywatch.....the dude is running in quicksand out there everytime he receives the kick.

I would prefer Choice. This way, we still keep Choice involved in the game, meanwhile saving Felix for the offense.

I look at who is taking shots at Choice and I am relieved. They are always wrong!
