26. Dallas Cowboys

O'Cyrus Torrence, G, Florida

One of the top performers during Senior Bowl week was Torrence, my top-ranked player in Mobile. The 6-foot-5, 337-pound right guard was dominant in one-on-one drills throughout the week, showing an aggressive ability in the run game. But what was most impressive during the week was his ability in pass protection, where his length showed up as pass-rushers were unable to consistently get around him. The Cowboys' offensive line is in flux, but the addition of Torrence would allow Tyler Smith to play left tackle full time while improving the team's overall offensive line play. The Gators' big man allowed just one sack in 2022.

58. Dallas Cowboys

Clark Phillips III, CB, Utah

Finding a starting outside cornerback opposite Trevon Diggs -- standout rookie DaRon Blandplayed primarily in the slot -- should be on Dallas' short list for the offseason. Phillips had six interceptions in 2022, and he has the toughness and instincts to excel playing inside or outside cornerback at 5-foot-10 and 183 pounds. No, he doesn't have ideal NFL size, but his on-the-ball production over the past two seasons prove he can make an impact.

Is Osyrus Torrence really worth 26?
I was kind of clueless on the guy but did some scouting after reading this and the guys a stud and an easy 1st rounder according to a couple of reports

I think he is definitely worth it if you want to run the ball better, but issue is, what happens if Tyron returns? Once Steel comes back the thought is moving Tyron to left tackle and kicking Tyler inside at Giuard.

That’s the only question mark.

This would make more sense if we knew the team was going to cut Tyron to save money but we don’t.

K knowing what we know about DQ, Clark Phillips no matter how good he's been will not be a CB that DQ goes for because he's A. under 6'0 and B. has shorter Arms than he wants.

DQ likes the Slot guys bigger with longer arms so they can play run and pass. Lewis was a hold over and he was stuck with him.

Torrence instantly becomes one of the best weapons on offense

But I would prefer a skill position player

Probably close to the same size as Joseph. If he’s a stud hopefully we don’t ignore him.

A+ from me.

Torrence played LG early in his career but is mostly a RG. He allowed ZERO SACKS IN FOUR YEARS IN OVER 3000 SNAPS. ZERO. 24 QB hurries in four years and 10 of those were as a freshman.

If he played tackle, he’s a top 5 pick. Put him next to Tyler? That’s straight up bully ball running left.

Phillips IMO opinion is too small for Quinn. Belongs better in a zone scheme as opposed to press man. Love the pick and the player. But he just won’t be the pick

Yeah I hear ya I like the idea of him there at left guard I think Avila would work also but not in the first round. I’m not sure Quinn would be happy with Phillips in the second

This team has so many needs but if there’s a G available with 1st round talent I would have no complaints about using our 1st pick on him to pair with Tyler Smith for the next 8-10 years.

I wouldn’t say so many needs. Not really more than most teams. I expect Pollard and McGovern back

WR3
LG

You’re probably right as long as some key FA’s are resigned. Pollard, LVE, Wilson. But I would add TE to your list. Last year’s rookies are nice for where they were drafted but nothing special.

Normally, I am fine with this but is there value in this pick? By that I mean as someone noted, it looks like the Cowboys plan is to start the Smiths at OT but once Steele comes back, Tyron and Steele will be the OTs with Tyler kicking back inside.

Now, obviously health is an issue as Tyron has missed a lot of games. So the reality is that Tyler may end up back outside at some point in 2023.

LOL, looks like I just talked myself into the pick.

I would not mnd this draft at all. Love Torrence and him and Tyler would be nasty on the left side. With that being said if the draft fell the way it did, I would maybe do a small trade up to get Ika at 54 or Gibbs at 55.
