Having flexibility and depth on the oline seems like a good thingI think he is definitely worth it if you want to run the ball better, but issue is, what happens if Tyron returns? Once Steel comes back the thought is moving Tyron to left tackle and kicking Tyler inside at Giuard.
Yes, but you don't want a 1st rd pick or a Tackle making 17 million sitting on the bench.Having flexibility and depth on the oline seems like a good thing
Great post. I'm all about the dominant oline as well.A+ from me.
Torrence played LG early in his career but is mostly a RG. He allowed ZERO SACKS IN FOUR YEARS IN OVER 3000 SNAPS. ZERO. 24 QB hurries in four years and 10 of those were as a freshman.
If he played tackle, he’s a top 5 pick. Put him next to Tyler? That’s straight up bully ball running left.
Phillips IMO opinion is too small for Quinn. Belongs better in a zone scheme as opposed to press man. Love the pick and the player. But he just won’t be the pick
Yes. Would be an instant starter at LG, and has the strength to blow holes open for RB's.Is Osyrus Torrence really worth 26?
Dallas needs to start Tyler at LT. Tyron can play swing, RT or retire. I love the guy with all of my heart, but we need to think ahead. Even Martin is turning what, 33? We have to get ahead of it.I think he is definitely worth it if you want to run the ball better, but issue is, what happens if Tyron returns? Unless a top WR or CB falls I don't see one there worth a 1st. The only time I've taken anyone but Torrence in the 1st was a few mocks where Njigba, Witherspoon or Quentin fell.Torrence instantly becomes one of the best weapons on offense
But I would prefer a skill position player
I don't like Clark in the 2nd. He does not fit the scheme. If we didn't have Bland I'd say go for it, but I'd rather draft a press cover with size to tackle in run support. It’s Insider but here is what he has

26. Dallas Cowboys
O'Cyrus Torrence, G, Florida
One of the top performers during Senior Bowl week was Torrence, my top-ranked player in Mobile. The 6-foot-5, 337-pound right guard was dominant in one-on-one drills throughout the week, showing an aggressive ability in the run game. But what was most impressive during the week was his ability in pass protection, where his length showed up as pass-rushers were unable to consistently get around him. The Cowboys' offensive line is in flux, but the addition of Torrence would allow Tyler Smith to play left tackle full time while improving the team's overall offensive line play. The Gators' big man allowed just one sack in 2022.

Clark Phillips III, CB, Utah
Finding a starting outside cornerback opposite Trevon Diggs -- standout rookie DaRon Blandplayed primarily in the slot -- should be on Dallas' short list for the offseason. Phillips had six interceptions in 2022, and he has the toughness and instincts to excel playing inside or outside cornerback at 5-foot-10 and 183 pounds. No, he doesn't have ideal NFL size, but his on-the-ball production over the past two seasons prove he can make an impact.
You drafted a kid last year that graded out better than Ekwonu. Also has a terrfic work ethic and the tools to get better. Leave the kid at LT and build around him.Dallas needs to start Tyler at LT. I think so. For a number of reasons. He could slide in at left guard and replace/upgrade McGovern. He would add size and power and help a running game that needs it.Is Osyrus Torrence really worth 26?
Imagine running the football through Tyler and O'Cyrus.I think so. For a number of reasons. He could slide in at left guard and replace/upgrade McGovern. He would add size and power and help a running game that needs it.
He also allows Tyler Smith to stay at left tackle and the team to move on from Tyron Smith and save a huge amount of money.
I see a lot of positives.
I would love to draft the mammoth Guard O'Cyrus TorrenceIt’s Insider but here is what he has

Ferguson is a good blocker. Better than average for a TE and certainly better than Schultz. And he should get better as he’s just a rookieSurprises me how many people think we’re ok at TE. Ferguson, Hendershot, and McKeon had a combined 32 receptions for 288 yards in the regular season. None of those guys are particularly good blockers. TE is high on the needs list for me.
I'm gonna say no.Is Osyrus Torrence really worth 26?
Would be fine with this. Have to get a WR in Free Agency thenIt’s Insider but here is what he has

Pretty sure this kid projects as an OG.OT with our first pick?
Yes please.
At this point you really can't count on Tyron to stay healthy so it would be unwise to already think about Tyler at OG instead of OT. I think they were ok with Tyler at OG but wanted him to be the full time OT because they knew Tyron is close to the end.
Could you imagine the run game with Tyler and OT on one side? Nasty.
Add to that the idea that in just a couple of years you have remade your Oline with Zack being the only older player.
OT was meant to be his initials, not his position.Pretty sure this kid projects as an OG.
