This is interesting :starspin

Last year he attempted 520 last year (64 this year) so not likely he qualifies this season.

The other item I found interesting is that Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is on his way to having the highest passer rating in the history of the league. Through 28 starts and 919 attempts, Romo now has a 97.6 rating. Steve Young has the highest with 96.8. Romo needs 581 attempts to reach the league minimum for ending up in the record books.

Romo's already made history, because he's got two straight games of 300+ yards at 10+ yards per attempt.

It has to be the first time anybody's ever started a season like that.

I've been looking, and there is only one case I can find of a QB with 3 straight 300+/10+ games. Warner did it in 2001.

Marino in '84 and Brady in '07 never had two in a row, as Romo's already done.

Steve Young's records be dam*ed. The guy was so overrated, and so is the passer rating (as calculated).

Only QB records I want Romo breaking are Troy Aikman's (3 SB victories), Tom Brady's (3 SB), Joe Montana's (4 SBs) and Terry Bradshaw's (4 SBs).

All I know is that whenever Romo throws for 300+ yards in a game, we win. So I want him to set an NFL record of 16 straight regular season games in 2008 with 300+ yards plus whatever yardage he needs to reach to win our playoff games & the SB. So far in his career, he's thrown 12 300+ yard games. Since he's started in 2006, we've won 21 & lost 7 so obviously we've also won 9 games even when he didn't reach 300 yards but I like our chances better when he does his thing. Hope he ties Aikman's record of 13 career 300plus yard games against the Packers on Sunday.

Well, Romo does have the quickest release in NFL history. :) Sure that helps a tad.

Barring injury to Romo or any of the key offensive pieces, he's going to really have some mind-boggling career numbers. Just gotta hope he can throw some Super Bowl wins in there (ok, one would do :) ), or no one in Cowboy Nation will care years from now.
