The incomparable Mel Kiper has come up with a 2005 first-round redraft
in.gif
based on how players from that class have fared over the past six seasons. This is for ESPN Insiders only, but I'm going to tell you how players from the NFC East came out in the redraft. And by the way, they fared really, really well:

2. Miami Dolphins: DeMarcus Ware, OLB Dallas Cowboys

8. Arizona Cardinals: Jay Ratliff, NT Dallas Cowboys

Kiper thought that Marion Barber, Leonard Weaver, Brandon Jacobs and Michael Boley were all "close calls" for the re-draft.

I don't know. I'm not certain that Rogers isn't the best QB in the league right now. He's right there. As much as I like Ware, Rodgers has been pretty impressive.

hard to argue with it. QB is always got greater draft value and as much as I hate to say it, Rodgers is outstanding

I'd expect nothing less from a Northern California boy

QBs are worth much more than OLBs. Take away Rogers and GB doesn't even sniff the playoffs let alone get to the superbowl.

As good as Ware is, he could never affect the game like a QB can. Not even close.

Well what if you replace Rodgers with Romo? Still not sniffing playoffs?

Could Romo throw 2 picks and no TD's in an NFC championship game on the road and still get the win? Thats just how good Aaron Rodgers and his belt celebration is

I'm not following you, here. It is an interesting question but how is it relevant?

If you replaced Rogers with Romo, GB would be in the playoffs. Yeah, so what?

Yeah. You're just saying that cause we've got Ware and didn't make the playoffs.:
