ESPN Mosley: Cowboys worried about Barber

how do you figure?

They haven't played any high powered offense and they still give up 22 points per.

Kinda hard for them to be overrated since they're the number one in pass, number one in run, and number one overall. Who's over them or who should be rated over them. Dick LeBeau is a legend. He's a pros pro. And they have got some football players on that team. The only reason I'm confident is that we probably can outscore them.

Okay the coach is a Legend that means nothing when coming to the field. They will get exposed against us.

You're buggin. He's not going over a 100. He'll be fortunate to get half. End of discussion.

They won't stop our offense. End of discussion. If Choice gets to play the full game he will go over 100 period.

So, a third-string running back will do what no first- or second-string running back has done against the Steelers run defense all season, right?

this is a smoke screen. if they were that worried we would've brung in another rb.

Mickey said that he talked to someone in the organization who said they would like to bring in another RB, but there is no one out there.

Yeah...even if he's 3rd string doesn't make him a bad back.....I think he's fully capable of producing and doing everything that would be asked of him.

Errr..

The Steelers defense gives up 14.2 PPG. That's good enough for first in the league. They also are number one across the board - total ypg, rushing ypg, and passing ypg. This defense also leads the league in sacks.

They could get exposed, I guess, but I'm not sure exactly in what area. If the Cowboys win this game it won't be because of the Steelers run defense.

If Choice gets to play he won't reach 50 yards.

yeah but it's not about finding a good back it's just about finding a back period. If Barber or Choice get hurt we only have 1 rb. so either our coaches and FO are being stupid again or they know he will be fine. it's a freaking dislocated pinky toe! pop it back in and get a move on.

i am not worried about barber-he will play even if his pinky is falling off.

If only there was a way for Romo to practice playing a 3-4 defense that is really able to get after the passer.

Re: Choice, I have no concerns at all with him starting a game in place of Barber. Barber wasn't going to run wild on this Steeler defense, anyway. And I don't care what anyone says, Choice is going to be a player in this league.

I think you may be right!

:)

What would Emmitt do?

He played in 1993 with his arm pulled out of the socket and ran like a man possessed.

Barber will play with a bum pinkie toe. If not, he should have his man card revoked.

Where did I state that Tashard Choice is a "bad back"?

You could be correct in assuming that he will run for 100+ against the Steelers. However, the likelihood of that happening is very low since other established backs have tried and fail. My list is posted on this thread for reference purposes.

I know but you made it seem as if him being a 3rd string running back is because of his lack of talent.

I don't think any one thinks he lacks talent. Definitely experience, starting his first game in Pit in what could be very bad conditions is what has some worried. I wasn't glad at all that Barber got hurt but I was excited to see Choice have to take over in Seattle game.

Who knows what will happen thats why they play the game, choice may get 150 yards. He may get 5.MBIII may get 100 maybe none.ur defense is good, and lebaeu is the man but ur offense isnt all that. And ben gets sacked like crazy.really the only really good offense u played u lost too,NYG.

I'm sure many of us think TC is a good RB or can become one. I'm worried about all the other responsibilities a RB has to perform besides running the ball and I think many others are as well. This is our loss if MB can't play well. Romo must be protected even if it means shutting down a lot of the playbook.

Clinton Portis didn't do it. Neither did Brandon Jacobs nor LaDamian Tomlinson. All are first-string, established running backs. So, you were stating that Choice would automatically succeed where they did not. That's the basis of my comment. It had nothing to do with Choice's talent as a running back.

Our offense isn't all that? Am I reading this right?

And against all of those teams you can stack eight in the box right ?
