ESPN Mosley: How I See It: NFC East Stock Watch

It's simple. Austin is the #1 receiver now. And we all know that Tony's throws are dead-on accurate to the #2 (Roy Williams, who went for 100+ yards) and everyone else, but for the #1, they're "all over the place."

Classic.

Garrett called a bad game, but Mosely is wrong that he needed Felix getting more touches. He's not the same with the brace. We should have been feeding Barber and Choice. Barber was shredding the Packers in the first quarter. How many times do you see a RB averaging more than 5 yards a carry not get anymore touches in an even ball game. Weird and stupid.

And why the heck do you pass the ball at 1st and goal at the 1 yard line? (which ended up as a pick) You have Marion Barber! Just punch it in for the score. Does anyone in the NFL really believe that on two tries from the 1 yard line they won't score with our huge linemen? And if you fail twice, then you can throw it. I swear to god, Garrett is allergic to running the football sometimes.

uh, Why is Austin falling?

4 catches for 20 yards is not bad really.

Sorry, but that's a bad game in most people's books for a starting WR.

But that Miles "drop" was not a drop. Does anyone know if he was being doubled for most of the game?

They need to stop pretending that the ball hit him between the numbers or something.

I agree. I love Romo, but this was more of a high throw than a "drop". It was not uncatchable, but it was not a great pass and would have been a tough catch. If it was a high pass that he had time to jump up for (like a bomb) he could have caught it, but it had some zip on it and those tend to just fly by. Would have been a really nice grab.

What sealed the win for the Commanders was not Betts or Campbell, but the absence of Orton.

Orton was shredding the Commanders until he left the game. Had he not exited, Denver would have beaten Washington easily.

Yea it was high, but he had plenty of time to adjust his route and make a better play on the ball. There have been a couple of times where it looked like the pass was high, but I think Tony is just kinda leading him more towards the end zone so he doesn't have to cut real sharp to get upfield before the sidelines.

...and yes I think Romo sees the field well enough to make that type of throw.

Oh, and calling this blog thing a "Stock Watch" is basically just saying who played well and who played bad...and that bothers me

/end vent

How is westbrook not on the failing list?

Because this is a knee-jerk, over-reaction analysis by an author reaching for a story?

I guess Belichek's stock as a HC is down, too?

This is the NFL if it touches your hands you should catch it. That's what happens when your best WR is an UDFA. But whatever.

If only you had taken the bet based on total number of wins in the offseason...

Austin is falling? He had one game where Tony did not get him the ball and now he's trending the other direction? How fast things change Mr. Mosely.

This guy is becoming more and more of an idiot with each article.

Excellent Job BB, your HD posts are a real value added analytic tool.

Of course we know that that blanket statement isn't true. Tony seems to be missing a lot on the high side recently.

I thought Miles dropped one in the fourth. Anyone know how many times he was targeted?

He was targeted 9 times according to the Box Score from ESPN.

Thank you. Here's Tony looking contemplative.
