They need to stop pretending that the ball hit him between the numbers or something.

Thats a drop.

A lot of players love a ball right there.

And he barely jumped, no?

How is westbrook not on the failing list?

..because he's hardly ever on the field.

My take, game live & replays.....is that the power of gravity on the play was more than Austin could overcome.....he just didnt get his feet right to get any elevation or misjudged the flight of the ball to some extent

remember him trying to dunk over the goalposts........

I will just say this. I don't consider it a drop but if you look at the play again Miles is only about a foot off the ground. Maybe he just did not have his steps right or maybe he did not see it in time to jump for it but he definitely did not go UP for it.

With my comment i tried to be funny. I wanted to show that the phrase "if you can touch it you can catch it" is just motivational stuff and not really true.

As i remember the play the ball was thrown a bit behind him. If he jumped he would have had a chance to catch it. But he couldn't jump because tzhe ball was behind him. Maybe he misjudged it a little too (it looked that way).

He misplayed the ball. His feet hardly got off the ground. I may not call it a pure drop but it absolutely should have been caught.

Nice picture, but I wish it showed his feet. The throw was not great but Austin got caught between steps and I think his feet are on the ground at this point, when he should have been jumping. Both of them are partially to blame, but I wouldn't call it a drop. Though after watching Bess last night, maybe he should have caught it.
