I agree. I'm on the Roscoe Parrish bandwagon. He's consistently one of the best return men in the NFL and he's only 27.

I stopped reading when that fool said that roider at rb for the Giants is the best rb in the NFCE:laugh2:

And then later he reiterated that Felix Jones is no better than 5th in the NFCE. Evidently he basing everything on how many rushing yards he think each one will have by year's end. But that doesn't mean he would be the best RB anymore than Drew Brees passing yardage last year made him the best QB in the league.

Seriously, how often do great returners become available for cheap? And I wouldnt count him out on offense either.

Apparently his contracts inflated. But couldnt we restructure w/ roster bonuses if hes on the team next year, and throw in incentive bonuses?

Felix, and Ogletree can return as well.

But that is all he can do. Even though it is tempting, it is not worth wasting a roster spot on someone who has hit his ceiling as a player and is a one trick pony.

Jones, but I would think Ogletree gets some shots too.

People are sleeping on KO's speed. He can fly.

i don't think that is a list of who he thinks is the best rb. it's a prediction on yards for the season.

I bet McGee goes to IR with his knee, leaving us with 2 QB's. Extra spot goes to either a 6th WR or LB.

That would make sense to me because he's definitely not ready to be on the 53 roster... Parrish would make a lot of sense filling that spot. BUT a veteran OLB would be nice as well.

Yeah, barring injury, I'm sure Felix will be the regular guy...

But one thing I noticed at the game is that we ran formations with basically one returner only, not the two you so often see. Guess Joe D just expects the single returner to sprint over and catch it if it's to the sideline.

If its going to the sidelines I dont want him returning it anyway. I'll take it at the 40 all day everyday.

What is Ogletree going to do in games? Doubt he even touches the field on offense in the regular season. Roscoe at least will contribute in a big way.

There's lots of teams that have a guy that just specializes in punts and KR. Figurs,Cribbs,Higgins, the dude from Tampa(I forgot his name) and Hester in the first few years of his career.

It's something to be concerned about and your acting like it's a wasteful spot on the roster. It can win and lose you some games. That's all I'm saying. Ogletree will most likely not contribute in the regular season. Give it to a guy that will.

I'm assuming Ogletree would be inactive, I believe in most games last yr we had only 4 WR's active on game day, and that was before we had another active spot dedicated to someone who only plays ST (Buehler)

It would just be a surprise to me if we added him and kept 5 active on game day. Like I said before, he isnt a better WR than any of our top 4 guys, and those guys know the offense as well.

Yea, why not deactivate Ogletree and let Parrish return kicks? Hes at best the 9th or 10th option. Or deactivate Mcgee or Folk.....

Roscoe wouldnt even need to break one, just a 12-14 yard avg. would suffice. They punt from the 30, Roscoe catches it at our 25, takes it to 35-40 and were a few first downs from at least a FG.

Why did I just explain how field position works? Whatever, I want Roscoe....

The 3rd QB is almost always inactive on game days, but can come in in emergency and play, at the expense of the other 2 QB's not being allowed back in the game.

Why the heck would we inactivate Folk unless he isnt healthy? The guys one of the best placekickers in the league. We went through years of having garbage FG kicking and now we have a great one, and you want to deactivate him?

Someone can correct me if this is wrong, but I dont recall many (if any) games where we've kept 5 WR's active on game day. And Parrish isnt a better WR than any of our top 4, so we'd lose a spot somewhere to keep him active. We already have 4 spots taken on game days by people who do nothing but ST (Folk, Buehler, McBrair, Ladouceur)

Someone mentioned a returner can win or lose you games, it only wins you games if you have someone who is truly dominant at it, someone like Deion Sanders or Devin Hester. And it only loses you games if the guy you have back there cant catch it (see Eagles a couple seasons ago). Parrish isnt a Deion, and we havent had issues with catching them.

The point would become moot if they let Newman return punts most of the time, as he's probably just as, if not more explosive than Parrish at it.

The key to stopping Jacobs is penetration. You just have to get him one lateral step and you have him. Give him 3 steps forward and he has 4-5 yards.

I don't even think he will have the most yards. Portis will, because the Skins will rely on him heavily. Westbrook will share time with McCoy, Barber with Jones and Jacobs with Bradshaw.

It won't even be close IMO.

Parrish would be fine. I am not confident of any CB beyond our top 3 and our S's are not that special either. I think we will short it there and keep 5-6 WR so there would be room for Parrish. Jones knows that he could have Pacman in here very quickly if we got desperate.

Thats the thing w/ Folk. Hes got to be banged up still b/c even his XP's arent looking right. I wouldnt dump him b/c hes been so goog, just deactivate him and see what Buehlers got. If Buehler kills it whike Folk rests up, then Id entertain trading Folk.
(Bash away)

The reason Buehlers taking a spot is b/c of the 8-13 yards on KO. Throw in Roscoe and thats another +7 on PR. 15-20 Yards better field position than last year on PR and KO.

KR and Punts should also be improved w/ Mcbriar and Felix back.

Anyone remember who they were trying at LS? Think it was a rookie LB or maybe Phillips?

I agree with what your saying but I think your still missing my point. I"m not talking about him as a WR. I'm talking about him as a KR/PR guy. Which is a HUGE phase of the game. We might be able to keep 5 WR's active since we may only keep 4 corners since Deangelo can play corner if needed.
