ESPN Mosley: Ogletree turning heads in Dallas

two guys with very little NFL experience do not make a solid vet expendable.

Several years ago, Bill Parcell's gave an interview where he addressed this issue. The interview came after a couple pre-season games had been played and the 53-man roster was beginning to take shape. Parcells said that sometimes you have to cut the more experienced, more polished veterans who have already reached their peak. You have to make those cuts because the only chance the team has at getting better is if other guys are given a chance to reach even higher.

This is the situation that the team is currently facing with Patrick Crayton and to a lesser extent, Sam Hurd.

Great point.

As for Ogletree, he proved he could play in the opportunities he increasingly received last season and he looks to have more upside in terms of physical ability. Dez Bryant will play and play a lot if for no other reason than he was drafted #24 overall (although we all know he's good enough anyway).

That's who I would like to see as the top three... and I think it'll eventually end up that way.

JMO.

I gotta root for Roy Williams. I think he is the guy who potentially puts us over the top if he can play at a high level.

But I think Roy has got his hands full if he doesn't play at a high level this year.

WRs don't win championships.

I agree. Roy has to step up if he does it clearly will help this team become more dangerous and harder to defend.

They sure as hell help.

They sure do, but a dominating line is what will put us over the top.

The reason Roy Williams is here, and vastly overpaid, is because Jerry mistakenly thought Roy would put us over the top in 2008.

If Roy doesn't perform this year than Austin, Dez, and Ogletree are the top 3 next year.

2010

Number 1 WR - Miles

Number 2 WR - Dez

Number 3 WR - Roy

2011

Number 1 WR - Dez

Number 2 WR - Miles

Number 3 WR - Ogletree

Thats my prediction.

bingo. its putting the cart before the horse. in the offseason and in OTAs everyone is great. they are all future HOFers.

lets wait and seee

I've said it before, I see Dallas runnning with five receivers this year,

Williams, Austin, Bryant, Olgetree and Titus Ryan..

Keep your eye on Titus Ryan, this kid has speed and runs good routes and has experience

Crayton and hurd will be gone either traded or cut, they are nothing more than progress stoppers at this point

Something about him reminds me of Terry Glenn. Not sure if his route running or size or what but I see a young Terry Glenn evertme I see Ogletree make a play.
