ESPN NFL staff ranks Dak 9th-best QB in NFL

Sure, but you clearly dont understand WHY. And you dont seem to be able to critique the rest of the offense or the Niners #1 defense.

You seem completely lost on the why or how and simply warp only to the fact that he had a bad game. As if its ONLY up to Dak how he plays.

It shows a complete lack of understanding on your part of the QB position as a whole and how the offense works as a whole.
I said he needs to step up against the 49ers in the playoffs. Spin it how you want but that's facts.

You're agreeing he had a bad game but trying to make excuses and then tell me I don't know anything or lack understanding.

Agree with you here but then you have to also move Trevor down the list. Guy had one of the worst half’s of playoff football in history. If it wasn’t for a horribly managed game by the Chargers OC he loses that game and ends with one of the worst playoff performances in nfl history
I don't have Hurts, Jackson or Lawrence that high. So I agree with you moving Lawrence down, you wont get a debate from me

having the ball in his hands the most, deserves credit and blame

This is by far one of more laughable quotes in regards to reasoning behind blaming ONLY the QB for wins and losses.

"Duh, he handles the ball the most"
Take a breath and show me where I said Dak is the only one that gets blame.

Literally just before I said that I said I get he isn't the only one to blame, however he does get the most blame as he should. Same thing with the credit, he should get most of the credit

Outside of Patrick Mahomes (who we all agree is the best of the best), how many QBs do you think would've torched the 49ers in that game, with the weapons (or lack thereof) that Dak had?

Aaron Rodgers also couldn't get past this 49ers defense. They're ridiculously good.

I was disappointed with how Dak played too, but I'm also realistic. He's a good-but-not-elite QB, on the road against the #1 defense and with zero RB threat once Pollard went down. What we got is what I expected.

The most disappointing play of that game was the near-pick-6 dropped by Dre Greenlaw. Just a horrible decision by Dak and one that should've ended any comeback hopes.
I never said he had to torch them but turning the ball over is something you can't do. That's why I said he needs to step up against the 49ers.

QBs that made their top 100...

1. Mahomes
2. Hurts
3. Burrow
4. Allen
5. Herbert
6. Lawrence
7. Jackson
8. Rodgers
9. Prescott
10. Tagovailoa
11. Goff
12. Cousins

Oh and this offseason, NFL players, coaches and execs all independently voted Dak among the top 10 QBs as well.

So people who are paid to know this sport universally believe Dak's pretty good.

But unfortunately, there are the low IQ bunch who actually believe that they know more about NFL quarterback play than these players, coaches, GMs and executives who are paid millions to eat, sleep and breathe football every day.

Watch!!! They'll dispute this too without any credibility compared to these professionals. It's hilarious and entertaining to watch the low football IQ bunch make fools of themselves on a public forum.

This Lawrence love is ridiculous. Hes an up and comer no doubt, but he hasnt shown he is better than Dak. Jackson no thanks. I would love to see what Hurts would do without the best offensive supporting cast in NFL history. No way is he #2. Although I see him having another sick year stats wise.
All the people dissing Hurts because of his supporting cast are also dissing the legacy of Troy. Troy had the best O-line of his day, the best running back (or 2nd best if you like Sanders), a great receiving duo, a damn good tight end, and a great coach. And that defense was pretty darn good IIRC. So if Hurts ends up with a few Super Bowls, will the narrative change?

I think if Troy was on this team, we beat the 49ers one of the last two years. He wouldn't make the mistakes Dak made. Hurts did the same--no mistakes against the 49ers. Just my opinion. I also have to say that as much as I dislike the Eagles, I did find joy in DPOY Bosa getting his *** kicked by Lane Johnson. Micah should have been DPOY.

Agree with Jackson. I wouldn't want him over Dak. Like you, I also believe Lawrence will be very good but the hype train is running fast. I will say that he looks like a very different QB since Pederson took over for Meyer--25 TD's instead of 12, 8 int's instead of 17. And I'll add the guy above him, Herbert. He has the stats but nothing else. I am curious to see him in Moore's offense, but his post-season success is, um, non-existent.

I said he needs to step up against the 49ers in the playoffs. Spin it how you want but that's facts.

You're agreeing he had a bad game but trying to make excuses and then tell me I don't know anything or lack understanding.
Ok so show me your football knowledge and tell me WHY he had a bad game. At least tell me the "excuses" as you like to call them.

Take a breath and show me where I said Dak is the only one that gets blame.

Literally just before I said that I said I get he isn't the only one to blame, however he does get the most blame as he should. Same thing with the credit, he should get most of the credit
No thats 100% false. He shouldnt get most of the credit and shouldnt get most of the blame. But this is a common mistake by football and QB challenged fans.

You said "Dak gets the blame". And you talk about NOTHING else. You also act like QB's just magically win games and lose games all on their own.

"Because they touch the ball more than anyone else"

Yes he is a top 10 QB amongst the ones playing today. Maybe higher than 9. Could go either way. How many above him have won SB. I am NOT A LOVER OR HATER. I am a supporter of MY TEAM. I don’t make the roster. I dont decide who starts. I just hope the staff puts the best players in the starting line up.

9-14 or so are all the same basically.
Above average
Could be worse!

9? Really? That’s being generous. Top 12 AT BEST. I personally have him floating around 13-15 range.

He threw 4 picks in one half of football. If Dak did that. There would be 100 posts on the first page. Make no mistake about that.
Maybe not if, in his 2nd year he did that, and then led his team all the way back for the playoff win with 4 TDs and a 2pt conversion.

9 seems about right to me.

Could he win a championship- yes.

Will he win a championship- probably not.

Super-bowls are generally won (but not always) by elite QB's.
They are won by good QB's surrounded by elite talent typically. Elite QB's dont do squat without great players around them. And you typically need to throw in good coaching on top of it all.
