The only scenario where rams drop to the 7 seed is a Rams loss + Packers win. Packers are the only team that can jump them.

Any other set of outcomes and the Rams retain the 6 seed.

The only thing that makes me nervous about GB is that Aaron Jones is back to full strength, and he and Dillon could run all day against us.
But the same thing makes me nervous about the Rams with Kyren Williams and their running scheme. Last time we played them, Williams was out and we forced them to abandon the run early.
The Rams game featured that wild sequence with Dallas up 7-3 late in the first.

The Cowboys got a field goal, a Bland pick six, a safety on a blocked punt, a long Turpin runback on the free kick, and then a Lamb score.

So it went from 7-3 to 26-3 in less than four minutes of game time and the game was basically already over with 12 minutes to go before halftime. The Cowboys are still the better team but they basically rode that sequence throughout the game back in October.

Odds for each team to finish as the #7 seed, per ESPN Analytics...

Rams 41%
Seahawks 27%
Packers 22%
Saints 7%
Vikings 3%
Rams have 59% chance to stay at 6 too, almost 3:2 odds.

Only scenario they move is a LA loss + GB win.

Lines are GB -3 and LA +3.5, coin flips on neutral fields. Smart money is on LA staying at 6th seed ;)

Rams, Seahawks and Packers are all capable of ending our season. Be careful what you wish for. We also lost to Philly in '93 on Monday Night Football and then destroyed them in the playoffs. We are wounded up front and the Rams can generate pressure with their front 4.

Interesting. I guess ESPN is assuming SF plays at full strength against LAR.
The DVOA playoff odds report assumes SF will rest their starters and so they have very different projections:
GB 39.6%
SEA 34.1%
LAR 11.8%
NO 11.6%
MIN 2.8%
This seems more accurate

Plus, the Rams can still be the 6th seed even if they lose to 49ers.
It would require the Bears to win though
