Healthy I think 9ers are the best NFC team followed by the Birds then us, Vikings and lastly the Seahawks.

Seems right, I just wish the team had a made a move at WR because we are clearly behind the Eagles and Niners in skill position talent outside of QB.
Now we have to be able to out coach and out scheme them.... Lets see how that goes.
My hope is we don't have to play both to get to the SB.
I would have traded a first for DJ Moore. 27 years of waiting is not acceptable. This organization is built to win now.
The NFC will not be this weak next year.
Jethro has ran this franchise this era one year at a time. Worry about next year , next year. He can’t hype and sell next years team yet.

But I think most expected 2022 to be more of a retooling season . The fact we are in better position than most expected would mean you don’t really need to make any moves.

Power rankings don’t mean crap. They change from week to week. Don’t know why some fans get so caught up with them. All I care about is where we’re ranked in our division.

Not doing anything but trying to set us up for failure. The higher you go the harder you fall type deal.

I’d rank us like this:
1. Bills
2. Eagles
3. Chiefs
4. Vikings
5. 49ers
6. Ravens
7. Dallas
8. Seahawks
9. Dolphins
10. Giants/Titans

Again thats fine but after watching the Bills/Chiefs game and watching the Cowboys/ Egirls game...you really think the Eagles would be favored to beat the Chiefs?

I don't know about best team in the NFC but right now they might be the worst matchup for us.

While I like our chances more this year because of our defense and the fact the recent top teams are down , I wouldn’t call us a proven contender.

Only one currently in NFC amongst teams at or above .500 is SF. And with the only QB in current playoff race that’s been to a SB and last years champ game I’d consider them more of a legit or serious contender.

Dallas, Phil and Minn are going to have to prove themselves in January.
Yep.
I wouldve said the Rams and Bucs but they are way too flawed (and injured) this year

With all due respect...

Meh to some comments here. :muttley:

No way in Hell the 49ers, Eagles or any other NFC team is better than the Cowboys now that Dak and our Offense are clicking, our Defense is playing lights out and our Special Teams is very good.

Yeah I wouldn't be thrilled to draw the 9ers either because I believe they would just bully us again with their run game. But I also think they would give Philly all they could handle. 9ers have a good run defense and a top notch rush defense as well. I couldn't pick against the 9ers against anyone in the NFC come playoff time. If McCaffrey stays healthy his versatility is gonna make their offense really tough to defend. Philly has been susceptible against the run and that's the 9ers forte.

I would rather the Cowboys were ranked much lower for many reasons.

First of all, it would be better if the Cowboys were under the radar, then they could sneak up on some teams. Secondly, they wouldn't be considered a "team to beat" with other teams preparing for them as if it was the Super Bowl.

Thirdly, a good size chip would remain on their shoulders. Fourth, it wouldn't go to their head and create overconfidence.

Power rankings should be based on record versus strength of schedule and not the biased opinion of a sports journalist with ulterior motives like creating controversy or notoriety.

Power rankings are meaningless, the only relevant ranking is playoff seeding.

Yeah, I noticed 3 polls and they weren't in the top 10 in any of them.
NFL.com, ESPN, CBS....not in any of them
Not that they are better than any of those teams, but still surprised given their record.

49ers I want them so we can have revenge. The team would be chomping at the bit wanting to repay that debt

Recently they have run the team to be good over a long period of time. That is what they are doing with the roster of home grown draft picks. They are trying to corner the market on young talent and build a champion.

Only the cowboys. Building a championship-less champion team since 1996!
