Bro Rush isnt that good. C'mon man!
LOL,
Don't love Dak but all the football guys really like him and I think he is good enough as long as he has the talent around him.

I know it's ESPN and only entering week 9, but if anyone is following or cares, here is the latest ESPN NFL Power Rankings.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34883241/nfl-week-9-power-rankings-2022-1-32-poll-reason-hope

Top 10
  1. Bills
  2. Eagles
  3. Chiefs
  4. COWBOYS
  5. Vikings
  6. Ravens
  7. Dolphins
  8. Seahawks
  9. 49ers
  10. Titans
Just posting if anyone is curious---nothing more or less
the offense is still predictable. the WRs are a question mark. the run defense sucks. I think we belong lower on the ranking, I think Vikings and Ravens can beat us. 49ers are tough. not sure seahawks. we might be top 10, but not top 5.

My faith in "sports journalism" has flatlined

The "experts" at ESPN and NFL.com are clearly impressed with us beating the powerhouse Lions and Bears to put us 5 spots above the Niners that just picked up arguably the best RB in the league AND has a defense that's even better than ours.

I can understand our resident homers believing this , but objective journalists?

If you compare us to the Niners, at least we can make the case that Dak can generate more offense than garappollo.....but when comparing the rest of the skill positions, trenches, and defense, I still think the Niners have us at a disadvantage.

Getting Mccaffery only widened the gap while we stood pat at the trade deadline

The polls are entertaining if anything.
But they are just opinions.
Folks shouldn't get overlay excited if we are are "too high" of "too low" in their ......opinion.

What I get a kick out of of is when someone (not referring to you) goes out of their way to say how meaningless a poll is yet they want to post about it every time.
Like saying you hate RomCom movies, but then watch everyone that comes out so you can say you hate them.

It's entertainment and gives a snap-shot of the current pulse around the league

I’d go like this ;
1. Bills
2. Chiefs
3. Egirls
4. Minn
5. Tenn
6. SF
7. Dallas
8. Balt
9. Mia
10. Sea
I agree, can't put the egirls ahead of the Chiefs and we still need to prove ourselves on offense. Also tighten up the run D a bit.

it’s definitely interesting to see what people are using as criteria to come to their conclusions. Sometimes it’s using raw data, roster changes, stats and of course my favorite is, “ I’m a fan of team X or I like their Qb, so I’m basing my predictions on that. Lol

Yep...just a mid-season opinion
Nobody here trying to make it out to be more than just that.

Just another opinion. But it is nice to see us this high for once.
As long as we are #1 after winning the SB.
I like being ranked this high and opposing fans still giving zero respect because they believe that Dallas has zero chance and Philly is going undefeated, and blah blah blay,
I have gotten into so many discussions in gas stations and grocery stores when all I'm sporting is only my fav cap, not even gameday when Im fully sporting.
I usually make them sound too foolish, so I've turned it down a notch and try not to embarrass them publicly as much as possible these days, but if there is nobody else around, just the clerk, I really get some of them really pissed off at times by just providing some basic stats, and they can't reply...lol
Those are the typical peeps that have zero clue on the fact that as good as this defense has been, it is nothing compared to how it's going to be down the stretch.
Getting hot and being in good rhythm by the time December rolls around is really going to freak out the average fanbase in general, and while power rankings are fun to look at,
they are about as accurate as the CFP rankings when they got Alabama with a loss on the season still ahead of undefeated TCU.

If the offense continues to show improvement like they did against Chicago and they can improve the run defense?

That is probably what RG fears the most, would love to see it happen this season, and why couldn't it happen.

This team is deeper than it has been for 25 years, probably more.

I forgot what it was like to observe transcending talent midseason, we usually have always seen only the ceiling,
and a short ceiling at that it's been, and then you look at the young talent on this entire roster now in all three areas, not just two, we often leave out special teams play.

Teams have been exceptional, have a great kicker in Maher and some lightening ready to strike with Turp handling that
role just fine, we no longer fear the possible turnover, now we love receiving punts and kick offs, and the opposition fears it.

Turp is just starting to figure out the speed in this league and is worth preserving somewhat in that role, so I can understand the patience
they have had in introducing Turp into the offense, but I believe we will start seeing him more involved even if just using him as a decoy.

On a side note, Jerry dressing up like a blind official
knowing full well that its directed right at RG and does it boastfully.

That was a great gesture on Jerry's part, shows the old man still has some huevos, and you would never see any other
owner doing the same, anybody think that Danny Boy Snyder could ever pull that move off :flagwave:

I mean you couldn't see the stars aligning any better than what we have had for nearly 3 decades this season, so why not.
