Actually I believe a big part of the increase in injuries is the fact that they cut out a lot of full pads practices and such in the offseason/training camp.

There is no way to get football ready outside of actually practicing football, in pads, on a regular basis.

They cut out full pad practices to cut down on injuries. It's common sense.

Practicing more does not prevent players from getting injured. Nor does it make injuries less likely. The probablility would actually be higher. You can't practice how to not get hurt. Practice is for perfecting technique and implementing that weeks gameplan. Not going all out full pads during the week before a game. That's how you get hurt, if he needs conditioning; jump on the treadmill. These are pros, not high school. They get paid to play on Sundays, the rest of the week they need to be studying and light walkthroughs.

Its more of these vets being out of practices. Coaches said last offseason they would hold out vets from practice more than usual to keep the injuries down and keep them fresh. It backfired.

You could not be more wrong.

BTW - Jimmy Johnson had brutal practices. As did alot of other teams. The last couple of years the injury bug has run rampant.

If Ware is restructured that would constitute fiscal bankruptcy on the part of this front office. Makes absolutely no sense to restructure this guy and push more dead money into the future. You nearly double his dead money by doing this.

It hasn't worked. Yeah, if you're overworking the athletes, then sure, cutting down on the amount of work they're doing would likely cut down injuries. But resting someone just for the sake of prevention doesn't work over the long term.

Practice, we talking bout practice. Not a game, but practice.
Whole organization needs more practice. Can't get physical and "calis' the body wearing shorts in
Ox-nerd. You are what your practices say you are.

Idk if they're mentally weak but they have won us nothing during their tenure here. So no need to be sentimental. Fact is, miles and ware alone are crippling the cap. Ware is not worth 12.25 mil, roughly 2 mil per sack if he has repeat performance of this past season.

Miles is def a weak dude. Ware I don't get that sense but at the same time I wouldn't call him mentally strong either. He's had more crucial off sides than crucial plays here

That's a hell of a statement.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up.

Or are you just throwing red meat out there to troll folks

I'll be shocked if this isn't what ultimately happens

Smart organizations know when to cut ties with players. New England and Pittsburgh would've cut Ware after 2012.

If Ware's going to be playing at 50%, ask him to cut his salary by 50%. It's only fair to both parties.

Exactly, if not he can leave.

We don't need an average player eating up space, that can be used on more players who can play just as good if not better.

You cannot teach someone to be immune from injury. Some guys just can't hold up.

When the pads go on, the probability of injury goes up drastically. Ware practicing full pads during the week would not help the fact that all the injuries have taken a toll on him and some guys aren't built to last over a 16 game season in the NFL.
