Quincy Carter drawing interest? Quincy Carter hasn't appeared in an NFL game since 2004, but at least one team in the league is considering bringing in the former Dallas starter for a workout. Carter is 29 now, was released by the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL last summer and currently plays for the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings of the af2 league, essentially the minor league of Arena Football. In seven games this season, the onetime second-rounder has completed 134 of 215 passes for 1,893 yards, with 42 touchdown passes and five interceptions. Cut by the Cowboys after he allegedly tested positive for marijuana in 2004, Carter isn't going to get many more chances, and he'd be wise to prepare hard for any audition he receives.

As long as the dude is staying away from cocaine and women-bashing I say good luck.

I heard he was in a bad shape just as recent as a year ago; I hope he got his S together.

I thought Crankcase bailed on the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings? Didn't he walk away from them when he got suspended for a game to two for missing some team meetings?

I don't want him to play for us, but I wish him luck. I was never a "Quincy hater," but I was never on his bandwagon either.

only 5 INTs in the arena game is pretty good actually. That game takes a quick release and threading the ball into tight spaces, things he couldn't do as a Cowboy.

I hope for the best for the guy. He's screwed up enough already for a lifetime.

Said it once and I'll say it again. The very best thing that could happen to this man is that football forgets about him. Some people can handle the kind of fame a proffesional football career brings and some can't. I just think Quincy is one of those guys who can't. I wish him well but I also wish he'd get out of football, find something else to make a living at and straighten his life out. JMO

I'm a 100% sure it's not the Cowboys... I a friend of mine said he was talking to Miami actually.. OF all places, I don't know if it's true or not.

I can't believe a NFL team is actually going to give a workout to that piece of trash. I hope he fails and finally learns that the problem all along was him, not everyone else. I can't stand people giving this unrepentant denier of personal accountability second chances. He doesn't deserve them anymore.

Oooh... maybe I spoke too soon. Hmmm.... I'm so conflicted. I'm not sure I can even wish that upon the Skins, but I might consider it.

Trying to figure out why Quincy is always a subject here. He's GONE, can we just let him be?

If he played any other position he'd be working at a 7/11 by now.

I think he could win the KC job... but yea Skins is best location.
Maybe the new backup to McNabb in Philly.

He might even outplay McFlabb for a few sobers moments.....

I am pretty sure he needs rehab and mental health medication.

Sober, drunk, he could never outplay McNabb even if he had stayed in the league.
