A team's 3 best skill position players not strictly a QB-RB-WR trio.

6. Dallas Cowboys
QB Tony Romo, RB Ezekiel Elliott, WR Dez Bryant

Here's the difference between basing expectations on players staying healthy and players suffering a typical amount of injury. We have no idea about Elliott's propensity for injury heading into the pros, but we know that Romo's style of play and history suggests that he's going to struggle to stay healthy. Even if Romo's offseason collarbone surgery does prevent the longtime Dallas starter from suffering another fractured clavicle, Romo's style, advancing age and repeated back issues suggest that he's still likely to miss time, even if it's not the vast majority of the season. And while the Cowboys are hopeful that Bryant will recover from a fractured foot that ruined his 2015 campaign, those sorts of injuries have a way of recurring. If everyone stays healthy, this could be one of the three best triplet combinations in football, and comfortably the best the Cowboys have had since that famous Aikman-Smith-Irvin combo from the 1990s. That's just a big ask.

Bell is a beast that hasn't had a 16 game completed season... But it would make a great shoot out...

It's not "triplets" if it's not QB-RB-WR, so I don't care about this, but the Steelers are the only trio I like better than ours in the traditional sense of the word. Assuming Zeke is the impact player we're all expecting.

This would be my list...

1. Steelers - Ben/Brown/Bell
2. Cowboys - Romo/Dez/Zeke
3. Patriots - Brady/Gronk/Edleman
4. Packers - Rodgers/Jordy/Lacy
5. Falcons - Ryan/Julio/Freeman

The Panthers and Cardinals ones are just head scratchers. I'm taking a healthy Romo over Palmer and even Cam Newton. Cam had a great season but I'd bet serious money that he drops off a decent amount this season. Dez is clearly better than Fitz at this stage of their careers and of course he's better than Olsen. Then if Zeke doesn't end up being a better player than John Brown or Johnathan Stewart then we have a serious problem.

That Pittsburg trio is the only one that's definitively better than ours. Patriots/Packers/Falcons/Cardinals/Panthers all have a weak link... us and the Steelers don't. I put theirs above ours because they are more proven. In a year or two ours could and should be number 1.

Hahahha the Cardinals trio above ours?? Wow. Let's see.

Romo > Palmer
Dez > Fitz
Elliott = Brown

I mean really, Brown had 1,003 yards on 65 catches and 7 TDs last year. Would any of us trade Elliott for Brown? No. I'll put = since Brown is "proven" if that's what you want to call one decent year.
