Look, I don’t like Jerry as a GM any more than anyone else, but this ENDLESS ‘Jerry is a clueless idiot that doesn’t care about winning’ scenario is SEVERELY worn out:
1)After 34 years of meetings, games, pressers, drafts, etc., involving players, coaches, scouts, refs, media, etc., wouldn’t you assume a person would accumulate SOME form of knowledge/expertise/skill?
2)Don’t three Super Bowls and a Gold Jacket count for ANYTHING?

Giving up multiple premium draft picks would’ve been an idiotic move from Matt Stafford, who hadn’t won anything. He led the league in INT’s when he won the Super Bowl. He spent most of last season injured. Going after him would’ve been one of the dumbest moves Jerry could’ve made. Replacing Dak with Mayfield would’ve been an even more idiotic move. You actually believe Baker Mayfield is a better option than Dak? Giving up multiple picks for a 40 year old Aaron Rodgers, who doesn’t get along with McCarthy would’ve made no sense. No way would he have played for the Cowboys. As for Jimmy G he’s not a better option than Dak and he’s injury prone. You haven’t come up with a single option that’s better than what we have.
You are on a one track mind with Dak as I said . you crack me up, you think Dak was better than stafford ? how can that be an objective take ? Did you see him win a SB ? He has a much much better arm and accuracy . But I know you cannot see behind Dak .
All the others are either way better and almost as costly or cheaper than a very expensive ordinary QB . Your evaluation of QBs seems to be centered around doing well in the meaningless games and regular season with Dak and not winning a SB .

Despite winning the Super Bowl on a loaded Rams team, Matt Stanford still has a losing QB record. He led the league in INT’s the year he won the Super Bowl. He didn’t even have a great Super Bowl. He tossed 2 INT‘s and had a passer rating of 89.9. In 12 years he only led Detroit to the playoffs three times. He puts up numbers and that’s it. Do you honestly believe Baker Mayfield is better than Dak? Lol You must think any QB would be a better option than Dak.

The irony of you stating Stafford "puts up numbers and that's it" as Dak Prescott's number 1 fan or whatever you are can't be lost on other people!

It's such a lazy assertion and out of context to simply state that Stafford had the most interceptions when he won a Superbowl...yeah he also threw 41 TDs during the regular season plus 9 TDs and 3 interceptions in the post season where he had a rating of 108. He also showed up big against a quality Tampa Bay team en route to the Superbowl. Not the shower of gash the Cowboys beat last season.

Is your name Tad?

I’ve been very critical of Dak but no way would I have given up multiple premium draft picks for Matt Stafford who hadn’t won anything and turns the ball over a lot. Are you on board with the other fan who thinks Baker Mayfield is a better option than Dak? Lol Some of you would rather have any QB but him.

The obvious QB to take over Prescott was Hurts. 2nd round pick and ride his rookie contract. All Pro QB and played a key part in taking the Eagles to the Superbowl which they would have won but for their defensive scheme/defensive performance in the second half.

I have to ask......

Who was the real architect of those super bowl teams? Jerry? I really hope you aren't that ignorant.

As far as the gold jacket is concerned, Jerry was given that for helping the rest of the owners get extremely wealthy, nothing more. It certainly wasn't for anything he did for his own team. If he received the gold jacket for helping the Dallas Cowboys organization I would be more on board with it, but that isn't why the owners kissed his butt and gave him one. Putting Jerry into the HOF before any of the neglected former greats was a huge spit in the face.
