And let's be honest, the only reason they were called the Doomsday Defense is because they didn't think of naming themselves the Hot Boyz.

Accept it. It's now in our franchise DNA.
It’s in the nation’s DNA. One of the reasons we’re failing.

At least Trent won a SB . Dak is nowhere to be seen .
I know you love Dak and believe he is the best option , but he is NOT .
Trent Dilfer got carried to a Super Bowl. Baltimore ended up dumping him during the offseason. I don’t love Dak, but he is the best option. If you don’t think he is then who is?

Options now are limited but available if Jerry wants to get into the forward thinking mode , which he is not good at . there were many options for Jerry to move away from Dak , who in 2018 started to show his limitations . Many potential draft picks missed , and not necessarily Jalen hurts . heck Brock Purdy a rookie played better than Dak in the playoffs .There were other great options to get, like stafford , which am convinced could have at least taken the cowboys to a SB at a cost of around 22 mil a year . Heck , Jerry could have had Brady for 26 mil when he left the patriots . Many other QBs could have been acquired ( rogers , baker , garropolo etc ) . But we are stuck with Dak and Cooper rush , who did ceey well with the offense without Dak .

I know all these are hypotheticals and not all trades are possible , but some are . But for now I dont think Jerry will make any moves unfortunately .

It's about to get insane next year. Dak is gonna be scrutinized for everything. Every loss, every INT, every little thing. There was already a meltdown with all 4 regular season losses he had last year.

I feel like next year if we can play with the lead in most games, Dak isn't gonna need to force the ball into traffic and we'll make other teams try to beat Micah Parsons and the defense. So it's hard to imagine he'll look the same as he did last year.

I don't see how Justin Fields belongs anywhere near the vicinity of the other 4, tho.

Part of being the QB, of the most popular team on the planet....

Jerry does not think outside the box very well as a GM.

Giving up multiple premium draft picks would’ve been an idiotic move from Matt Stafford, who hadn’t won anything. He led the league in INT’s when he won the Super Bowl. He spent most of last season injured. Going after him would’ve been one of the dumbest moves Jerry could’ve made. Replacing Dak with Mayfield would’ve been an even more idiotic move. You actually believe Baker Mayfield is a better option than Dak? Giving up multiple picks for a 40 year old Aaron Rodgers, who doesn’t get along with McCarthy would’ve made no sense. No way would he have played for the Cowboys. As for Jimmy G he’s not a better option than Dak and he’s injury prone. You haven’t come up with a single option that’s better than what we have.

Is he the No. 1 overall player under pressure because he plays for the Dallas Cowboys so he'll draw attention for ESPN by ranking him No. 1?
The Dallas QB has and will always be the No 1 overall player under pressure.

Whenever a player like Tony Romo had the ball with 2 minutes left, I would think, hey we have a good shot to win the game. I've never once had that thought when Dak had the ball at the end of the game. As a matter of fact, it's the opposite thought. Whether the stats for that agree with me or not--I have zero confidence in that guy.
Tony was the better QB, but Dak was a better value to the team during his rookie contract than Tony was on any contract. Dak was probably the best value in the league at that time.

Not only cheap, but he could *run* too. 6 rushing TDs each of his first 3 years.

Unfortunately for Dak, his positive value was largely offset by the hangover cost of Tony's contract, and then the contracts of other declining older players.

Indeed . He is too stubborn and takes too long to admit he picked the wrong players and coaches .
His biggest error is thinking that his business skills could translate into being a GM.
They take 2 different skill sets, and he is greatly lacking in GM skills to be sucessful.
His blind squirrel finding a nut occasionally was him finding Jimmy Johnson.
Its been a disaster since........

Wrong......we prefer we go 0-17 and with the # 1 pick in the draft....well you get the idea.
The last time we picked a QB with pick # 1 it brought us 3 Superbowls!
What have we done in the past 7 years even though we had tons of talent?
Not much......
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herschel_Walker_trade

while aikman was a great pick the reason for the 3 SB was not the QB it was this trade and a much better coaching staff. No doubt in my mind Dak and Romo could have brought home 3 lombardis with that squad. But continue on in your illusion

Well, few weeks ago he proclaimed that he will not have 10 INTs this coming season.
So, we'll see if he can live up to that.
