I think McClain has a good chance to come in and make an impact. His deal is not the ability to play this game at a high level it has been the lack of ability to get his life together. If he can get his life under control he has a chance to have a very good career in the NFL

I agree 100%. He has once in a generation type of talent but it won't amount to a hill of beans if can't get his act together. So far he appears to be well on his way unless he is running a very elaborate con game during his interviews.

If he is able to give us quality snaps, he can be counted as an upgrade, which upgrades our D considerably.

Yesterday on Cowboys Break they were talking about him and while they mentioned the conditioning they said that was expected. But what they didnt expect was how he already knows the defense. They said if this is the starting point for him, then there is alot to be excited about.

He will be the starter come week one.

Exactly! He was supposed to be eased into things. If that easing him, he is on his way to the pro-bowl by week 3, lol.
In all seriousness, I am glad that he doesn't have to work on getting into shape or knowing/learning the playbook.

Disagree. He'll play WITH Lee. Move Lee to SLB. MLB position has proven to be too physical for Lee. Moving Lee over will hopefully keep him healthy and prolong his career.

I have visions of Lee - McClain - Carter dominating for the next 5-7 years dancing in my head.

Lee is definitely too small to play the Mike. Always has been and is why he's always hurt. Moving him to SLB sounds like a good idea. At least amongst those of us who know not what we're talking about.

If McClain pans out i can see Lee playing the WILL. He would turn into the best LB in football IMO. Putting Carter at the SAM. Guy is a beast closer to the LOS. He can cover but he's a body you have to leave close to the box because he blows people up.

If he's a decent player than he should have no trouble being a starting lb on this team. I like raiders videos I've seen of him.
