PGA Tour golfer John Daly said on Twitter that his playing partner for next week's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am is none other than Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.


Perhaps some of the conservative play that was demonstrated this season by Romo, who cut down greatly on his turnovers, can rub off on Daly.

I can't believe Romo's starting his golf off season so early. The Pro Bowl was Sunday. He should've have taken Monday and Tuesday off to rest his body and get away from it all and been back at the Ranch watching tape and working out.

This is exactly why we can't win with him. Ryan Leaf never played golf!

It was not a joke, it was a shot at a player and it was undeserved. Romo is not an alcoholic. Daly is. Romo is not a gambling addict. Daly is.

He wasn't talking about friendly wagers and cocktails and Romo was not excluded.

I don't find it funny.
