Very nice to hear that he is looking like he's ready to go.

competition breeds success...I like that Martin is getting a taste of what a real NFL DT is all about...not just lining up against other rooks....good times

Melton is capable of beating anyone when he's at his best, regardless of how good they are. Martin certainly has nothing to be ashamed of from that incident, though. To the contrary, he'll stand to benefit by guys like Melton showing him that there's some progress to be made if he wants to thwart the best pass rushers he'll have to face in the future. It'll do Zack good in the longrun.

I think that was the only time they've mentioned Martin getting beat. With Fred and Martin third and short should be improved this year.

can we get some info on why Martin is playing C on 2nd team?

I think these OL coaches like to have each player learn 2 positions. It could be RT/LT, RG/LG or RG/OC.

Fred said that taking reps at OG last year helped him understand what the OGs need from him at OC.

All I know is the quick outs to #82 need to end on 3rd and 1. Behind The Great Wall II we need to start imposing our will.
Absolutely. Hopefully, we will run the ball in practically every 3rd and 1 situation. With Frederick, Martin, and Murray, defenses should start taking for granted we're going to run it up the gut and question whether they can stop it--and not the other way around.
