ESPN: Roy Williams Released

I disagree. Galloway was back in Jerry's ego-maniac days. Roy Williams was supposed to be the reasonable and "educated" Jerry Jones. At least Dallas got Keyshawn for Galloway.

Galloway was more costly in that we gave up 2 1st rd picks at a time we needed the top draft selection since Aikman was at the end of his career.

This just shows you how awful Jerry is as a talent evaluator/GM. This was the biggest trade bust in our history, with Joey Galloway amongst that list also. Both were panic deals rushed by Jerry that ended up costing us valuable draft picks.

Add it to the growing list of failures Jerry has had as a GM.

Steve Smith is looking to move somewhere...

Good move for the team, he never fit in anyway.

Steve Smith(Carolina) would be a great signing - if he's ok with being a #3 WR.

I'd take Derrick Mason
I've always liked the guy, but he's 37 and has played 15 years in the league. If I got him it would have to be for the vet minimum and I'm not sure he plays for that.

This has JG written all over it, he is officially in charge.
Like the move.

So now every move is going to be a JG move. Will Jerry EVER get any credit around here?:lmao2:

This sums up his stay with the Boys'......

Exactly. To have kept him here with the money we would have been paying him AND risk more of this kind of play, would have been ludicrous. I'm a Texas fan since birth and I LOVED the idea of Roy coming here, but that play was the final straw for me. I like the guy, but hate the player. I feel with this move I can finally put that game/fumble behind me. :)

Lance Moore
Moore has 20 touchdowns and 159 receptions in his past 39 games. He's an ideal fit for a team in need of a slot receiver. He also can be a punt returner or at least the backup.

Yup. I credit Jerry for signing Galloway and Roy. There! You happy?

So what about the 13 Pro bowlers the Cowboys sent to the Pro Bowl? Or the 6 guys that made the NFL Networks top 100 players? He missed on a trade. But all of the other undrafted rookies he's had be Pro Bowlers? Doesn't that count for something?

Surprised. They must be more confident in Dez then it looked.

Why? I think they were very confident in Dez. They guy has only proved he can play this game at a high level. I didn't see anything that said otherwise.

Only when something does not work out.

What do you guys think about maybe Rice?

Rice isn't going to be a #3, He wants #1 WR money and he's going to be a #1 wherever he goes.
